🦣🦕 We had a fantastic program today with Ranger Brandon Kenning from the Waco Mammoth National Monument!

Ranger Brandon shared fascinating information about mammoths, dinosaurs, and other prehistoric animals. In one of the photos, he is describing the discovery of a tooth from a juvenile saber-toothed cat (Smilodon fatalis) found at the Waco Mammoth site.

If your child missed today’s program, don’t worry! Stop by the library and ask the librarian for a Growing Dinosaur Egg take-home activity while supplies last. Simply place the egg in water and watch it crack and grow over the next 12–24 hours.

Join us again on Wednesday, June 24th, as we learn about cave drawings. We hope to see you there!

Wednesday, June 17 at 10:30 AM – The Mammoth Site of Waco will present a fun program for children of all ages.

Thursday, June 18 at 2:00 PM – Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network will begin weekly Storytime & Craft sessions, continuing every Thursday in June and July.
