The Los Angeles Valley College Foundation’s mission is to enhance the education of its students through community involvement and to provide additional financial resources to Los Angeles Valley College. Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC), part of the nine-college Los Angeles Community College District, is a two-year community college in Valley Glen, CA. It serves a student body of over 18,000 students each year from some of the most disenfranchised communities in the San Fernando Valley.

Sharon Udkoff, Certified Public Accountant and our current Board Secretary was a 2022 The Fernando Awards Finalist! Sharon was nominated by Los Angeles Jewish Home and Los Angeles Valley College.

The Foundation is proud to share this profile video highlighting her contributions to the betterment of the San Fernando Valley.

Sharon Udkoff has been engaged in community and business affairs for decades. Among the organizations she has been involved with are the Los Angeles Valley College Foundation, Hillel 818, the Executives, Studio City Resident’s Association, Studio City Beautification Association and Save the Los Angeles River Open Space. As an engaged member of the Executives, an organization that aids the Los Angeles Jewish Home, Sharon has helped raise millions for the Jewish Home and at Los Angeles Valley College, has been instrumental in helping our Foundation grow from $400,000 in net assets to more than $8 million.

With heavy hearts and enduring love, we announce that Raul Castillo passed away peacefully in his home in Burbank, California on May 5, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on June 2, 2022 at 5pm.

Los Angeles Valley College Presented with the 'Captains of Industry Award' by the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce!

Foundation Development Officer, Ronya Waters and Foundation Past-Board President and current Board Member, Pat Ballew joined Los Angeles Valley College President, Dr. Barry Gribbons and LAVC Dean, Academic Affairs Arts, Media, and Design Carmen Cortez Dominguez, DMA at the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce's Annual Gala. The Gala themed, "It's a Grand New Year!", celebrated the Chamber's 111th Birthday. Los Angeles Valley College was honored as being a Captain of Industry in the San Fernando Valley.
