SATURDAY VOLUNTEER TRAINING AT WYLDE HORSES!

Have you been wanting to volunteer with us, but our usual Tuesday morning trainings just don’t work with your schedule?

We hear you!

With schools back in session and fall schedules getting busy, we know weekday mornings aren’t always easy. So we’re opening up a special SATURDAY volunteer training!

Saturday, September 5th, 2026
9-11 am
Wylde Horses Therapeutic Riding Facility
Valley Center, CA

We are looking for dependable, caring volunteers, ages 18+, who want to get involved and make a difference in our program.

Our volunteers help alongside our horses and riders during lessons, assist as horse leaders and sidewalkers, help with basic barn chores, and become a huge part of the Wylde Horses community.

No horse experience? That’s okay! We will teach you what you need to know.

This is a great opportunity for college students needing service learning hours, adults looking to get involved in the community, horse lovers, retirees, or anyone looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours each week.

We have flexible scheduling and would love to connect with anyone interested in joining our team!

🐴💛 That’s a wrap on four weeks of ground lessons!

We made the most of the summer heat with plenty of hands-on horse time, fun activities, lots of laughs, and some quality time with our goats too! 🐐✨ A HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers and instructors for braving the heat and keeping the fun going! ☀️🫶

We’re so excited to get back in the saddle! 🐴🎉 As we head into fall, we’ll continue keeping a close eye on temperatures. On especially hot days, we may switch back to ground lessons — so keep an eye on your phone for any lesson updates! 📱💛

We are growing again!!

We are looking for a part time Therapeutic Riding Instructor who loves horses, enjoys working with people, and is excited about finding a place where they can learn, grow, and become a long term part of our team.

Wylde Horses provides equine assisted activities and therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities. Our days are busy, hands on, rewarding, and rarely boring! We work closely as a team to create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for our riders, families, volunteers, and horses.

Our instructors help lead and assist with therapeutic riding sessions, ensure the safety and well being of our riders and horses, communicate with families and volunteers, and contribute to the supportive barn atmosphere that makes Wylde Horses special.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, competent, motivated, and a quick learner. A strong candidate will be a self starter who can manage their time, notice what needs to be done, jump in to help, and become comfortable working as part of a fast moving team.

We are especially interested in finding someone who is looking for more than just a temporary position. We invest a lot into our team, our riders build meaningful relationships with their instructors, and our horses become pretty important coworkers! We would love to find someone who wants to put down roots with us and grow alongside Wylde Horses.

This is a part time position with flexible hours.

Selected applicants will be invited to a working interview. We think the best way to determine whether we are a good fit for each other is to spend some time together at the ranch, meet the team, see how our program operates, and get a feel for what working at Wylde Horses is really like.

Hello everyone, we are asking for your help!!

As we head into September at
Wylde Horses Therapeutic Riding Facility, our riding lessons are getting back into full swing after a much needed summer reset, and we urgently need more volunteers!

I cannot stress enough how important our volunteers are to what we do. Our riders depend on having enough trained people here to safely support their lessons, and right now, we need more hands.

If you have ever thought about volunteering with us, PLEASE consider joining us now.
We are hosting a volunteer training on September 1st from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
No horse experience is needed. We will train you!
We need help with side walking during lessons, leading horses, and ranch chores.

Volunteers must be 18 or older.

You do not have to be a “horse person.” You just need to be willing to learn, show up, and help! A couple of hours of your time can make such a difference for our riders and our program.
