United 'atáaxum Youth Council The United 'atáaxum Youth Council's mission is to provide Native youth in middle and high school the opportunity to be leaders in their communities.

We engage local youth in community service and fundraising to attend national Native Youth conferences. We hold weekly meetings at the Rincon Education Center from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

The United ‘ataáxum Youth Council is seeking sponsorships to travel to the 50th United National Indian Tribal Youth (UNITY) Conference taking place at Oklahoma City, July 10th to July 14th.

Our goal is to support 20 of our UNITY members ages 12-26 to attend the conference

The United ‘ataaxum Youth Council has active members from various Southern California tribes, including Kumeyaay, Payomkawichum, Cahuilla and Cupeño.

United ‘atáaxum, as part of the Vision Keepers CoHort, was able to attend the 2025 National UNITY Conference in San Diego this past week. It was the first time at Nationals for our current members — though many have been to mid year conferences, and because of this grant project with CIMC we were able to cover all the costs of attending a national conference! they visited college booths, listened to speakers, met new kids through workshops and did so much more! Take a look at just one of the conference agenda days… It was packed! A round of applause for the teens who took time out of their summer break to come and keep working towards being a better leader and community member in Indian country !
