It's that time of year! Sign ups and registration Both nights! Clinic will be put on by Head high school coach Justin Schwart and assistant coach Devin Schwartz.

On September 12th, junior football players are invited to attend the varsity football game free of charge and will be recognized during the game. Additionally, designated bleachers will be provided behind the north end zone for their seating. Coaches and a few parents will be present to supervise. Coaches will provide more details regarding expectations during the game.

Wheatland Elementary School, Valley Center Abilene Elementary, West Elementary School. The Jr. Hornets are excited to welcome 5-10 additional second- and third-grade players to join their tackle football team for the upcoming season. Starting in August and concluding in late October, this season promises to be an unforgettable experience. As part of the Junior Hornets program, our young athletes will compete against other teams in the greater Wichita area, developing their skills and having a blast while learning. Our dedicated coaches prioritize player growth and foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork and camaraderie. We also have some upcoming opportunities to join our board for the 2026 season. To ensure a smooth transition, we are hoping to bring on new board members this year. This is a great chance to become more involved and help us continue to enhance our Jr. football program and provide the best possible experience for our players. The following board positions will be opening up, along with a brief overview of their responsibilities:

* **Director:** Coordinates and leads board meetings, attends league meetings as a voting member, responsible for all facilitation/operations of home games and oversees the program budget, schedule and overall direction of the entire program.
* **Concession Manager:** Manages inventory and stocking of supplies for all home games and develops the volunteer schedule for these events.
* **Treasurer:** Responsible for managing the program's accounts, season budget, and equipment expenses.
