Hello Band Family,

For those that did not see the FB post from Gab, here is the schedule for Pista Sa Nayon. For those that don't know, we usually receive a $600.00 donation for this parade. I know a lot of our juniors have SAT testing Saturday, and for those that do not, it is important we have a good showing and consider this a paid function/fundraiser for our band. Kids please keep that in mind. This our last parade of the year, let's go have some FUN!

Mr. Dickey, I just have one question, are the kids bringing home their uniforms home Friday night?

THIS IS A CARPOOL EVENT no event donation.
Thursday: - Short Practice
07:45am - Report Time, meet at Jesse Bethel HS to load
08:30am - Meet on the corner of Capital and Marin St
09:30am- Stepoff
10:45am- Stage Performance
11:00am- Photo Op off the pier.
11:30am- Load Truck Head back to Bethel to Unload

If you have any question please let us know.
Thanks,
The board

Hello Parents,

This Thursday is we are holding election meeting for new board members. We would like to invite all incoming 9th grade parents from Hogan and Franklin to come join us for the meeting.
The following positions are open:

President
Vice - President of Fundraising
Vice - President of Liaison to band members
Treasurer
Secretary
Historian

If you have anyone to nominate please send them the names in right away. As it stands, we have 1 nomination for President and that’s Susan Joseph. It is my understanding that she might decline.

I've been asked by several parents to return as President, and I thank you for asking. It's is very humbling. Unfortunately, my son D'Angelo will be a senior next year and is only planning on doing Marching Band. Like most Seniors, he wants to take a little break and take it easy senior year. I feel the position of President should be a parent who's kid is more involved in the band especially for Winter Season. Of course my wife and I will always be here to support and thank you all for the awesome memories!

On the brighter side, we are excited to bring in new blood, new ideas and refreshing faces. At our last meeting it was reported by one of our Hogan/Bethel dads, that we are going get a lot of freshmen parents! They already have fundraising ideas, will boost parent support and the finances of the Bethel Band! WE ARE TOTAL EXCITED TO HAVE THEM!!!!

WELCOME TO ALL!
Respectfully,
(Mr. President, Hernan :)

P.S. Copied on this email is HPE Ms. President Rochelle, please forward to our HPE BAND FAMILY!

I was able to get a hold of the photographer who is still willing to sell at the group price ($18.00 ea.) as long as I bulk order for both HPE AND JBHS at one time. Hi Bethel Parents please check in with your kids if you haven't already. There was a fatal shooting near the school so the school was on lock down. I was told they have not caught the culprit yet so we, I think we the safe thing to do cancel Drumline Practice.

Hi Parents,

I'm sorry, I've come down with pink eye and have been working from home the last couple of days. You all know pink eye is highly contagious and I don't want to effect a room full of kids and parents. We will have to reschedule the meeting for next Thursday to hold elections. I will post schedule for Alameda tomorrow.

Points of concern:

Could we please get a parent volunteer to drive the truck or ride the bus with the kids? If you can volunteer to do one or the other please email me directly.

2nd - We got awesome donation from Patty for golf cart Batteries woohoo! Thank you Patty! Simon and Melissa have offered up their house to fixed the golf cart and trailer. Email me for the address [email protected]

3rd - We need a parent volunteer to tow the golf cart for Saturday. Again if you can do it, please email above.

Unfortunately my wife and I will miss the last comp again we will be moving our daughter back home for the summer from so-cal.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your support.

Hernan
