This weekend we got a phone call from Officer Stephanie Diaz and Officer Forrest Coleman … they had been to a call for service that left their hearts heavy and they wanted to do something extra for the kids at this particular house. They utilized the “Capoot Closet” and found some toys and other items but it just didn’t feel like enough to them… Officer Diaz and Officer Coleman decided they wanted to buy them a new bed. With the amazing help from Mancini’s Sleepworld on Plaza Drive (major shoutout to David!) we were able to help facilitate the funding for them to do just that! The bed was ordered and delivered in the same day and we hope those kiddos got a a great nights sleep!

As requested by officers we will be collecting “warm gear for adults and children”. Such as jackets, socks, beanies, sleeping bags, hand warmers, etc… please remember all items must be new and in original condition.

A special thank you to everyone who helped us get the Capoot Closet stocked last month with various items. We are so thankful our officers have this resource to utilize throughout their shift, we’ve heard various heartwarming stories from our spouses who have already accessed it. 💛 These stories include the distribution of diapers, wipes, sleeping bags & toys. 🧸

📬 Regarding monetary donations & shipping in items: we are still working on the logistics of this, and hope to have this option available soon.
