Our Poderosas are making headlines! 🎉❤️ Thank you to the Vallejo Times-Herald for sharing the story of our 8 Poderosas Mentorship & Leadership Program.

We are so proud of these graduates! This intergenerational group brought their voices, experiences, and commitment together to create a bilingual housing resource guide for renters and present recommendations to SolTrans for safer, more accessible transportation. Felicidades, Poderosas! Your graduation is a milestone and your impact continues.

As part of a six-month mentorship program, eight Latina women — four high school students and four young adults — set out to build confidence, strengthen their voices, and learn how local decisions affect their community.

¡Felicidades, 8 Poderosas! 🎓✨ Last night, watching you graduate, my heart was full of pride.

You brought your stories, your courage, and your commitment to this journey. Across generations, you learned from one another, found strength in your voices, and turned your lived experiences into action—creating a bilingual housing resource guide for renters and bringing recommendations for safer, more accessible transportation to SolTrans. That is leadership. Seeing a need, speaking up, and working together to make a difference.

To each of you: your voice matters. Your experiences matter. Our community needs what you bring. I am so proud of you and grateful to have walked alongside you. ❤️

Keep asking questions. Keep taking up space. Keep opening doors for those who come after you.

¡ Poderosas! This community is stronger because of you. ✊🏽🦋

🎤 Student voices matter!

We are excited to welcome Dixon High School students as featured panelists at the Latinos in Education Conference!

These young leaders will share their experiences, educational goals, challenges, and ideas for improving opportunities for students. Their voices remind us why young people must be included in conversations about education and the future of our communities.

We did it—our conference has reached capacity! Thank you to everyone who registered and helped us spread the word. If you were unable to join us this year, we hope to welcome you at a future event.

We look forward to celebrating the courage, leadership, and vision of our student panelists!
