Leaf of Life YOUTH RISING, founded by reggae artist Leaf of Life, is a non profit corporation helping youth turn their dreams into reality through our literacy programs, Social Emotional Learning projects for early childhood education & our future goal of opening our Leaf of Life youth Rising Center. We work directly with underrepresented communities in Jamaica & Northern California to support the

🙏🙏Thank you so much to our next to Angel donors this week! Relief is on its way to Jamaica now.

Tuesday we launched our 6 week local community campaign because Hurricane Melissa—the strongest storm ever to hit Jamaica (and tied for the strongest to ever make landfall)—has devastated communities across the island. 

Our own friends and family are among those directly affected, with some still unreachable in remote areas. 

We’re asking for your help through Leaf of Life Youth Rising nonprofit to deliver food, clean water, and rebuilding support to the hardest-hit families. Your donation is sent directly to Jamaica to help our island recover, yard by yard. 

55% of Jamaica has been without power and water for over a week with thousands displaced from their homes, so every dollar makes a real difference right now.
