From humble beginnings in 1999, BSG has grown into the North Carolina High-Country’s premier cycling event.

The ride takes place in historic Valle Crucis, NC, home of the Mast General Store.

🚲 Ride day is almost here!

If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to schedule a tune-up and give your bike a thorough once-over. Check your tires, brakes, chain, shifting, and make sure everything is ready for a long day in the mountains.

Mechanical support and resources will be limited on course. Arriving with a well maintained bike is the best way to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

Every great ride deserves a great celebration.

Thank you to Village Inn Pizza and Pedalin’ Pig BBQ for helping make the 2026 BSG post-ride celebration one to remember. We appreciate your support and all the great food that brings our riders, volunteers, and community together after a such a big day!

Soon these roads, parking lots, and mountain climbs will be filled with riders from near and far.

This event is about more than miles, it’s about community, perseverance, and supporting our neighbors in the High Country.

When you’re pushing through the miles, a banana can feel like a five-star meal.

Hydrate like your favorite road-side witch is waiting for you at the top of the climb. 🧙‍♀️🚴

One of the best parts of BSG is the community that shows up to encourage riders through every mile.

Training tip: Practice drinking and grabbing bottles while riding in a controlled environment. Small skills can make a big difference on long rides.

Thank you to Hunger & Health Coalition for being a part of BSG 2026!

The team from Hunger & Health Coalition will be volunteering at the finish line, helping serve riders, assist with cleanup, and keep things running smoothly post-ride.

One of the things that makes BSG special is the opportunity to give back. Through the support of our riders, sponsors, and volunteers, proceeds from BSG help support the important work the Hunger & Health Coalition does throughout the High Country.

Thank you to their staff and volunteers for donating their time to make this event possible and for the incredible impact they make in our community every day.
