It was a busy Valentine Rotary meeting last week-
1. Congrats Ryan Hutchinson - our newest member! Welcome!!! He was invited by Monte Neiffer.
2. Congrats to Ann Van Epps Neiffer - She received her 1st Paul Harris Award. It was given to her by Joan Johnson. Ann is the current Chair of our club and pours her heart into Rotary, and definitely exemplifies Service Above Self!

🌍 Today is World Polio Day 🌍

The Valentine Rotary Club joins Rotary members around the world in recognizing the progress made toward ending polio — and the work that still remains.

Today we’re reminded of the devastating impact this disease can have on children and why we continue raising funds and awareness so that no child ever experiences the paralyzing effects of polio again.

💧 Every drop of vaccine counts. Every donation brings us closer to a future free from polio. In the hardest-to-reach communities, those drops carry both protection and hope.

Earlier this year, Rotary members joined local vaccinators in Pakistan — visiting homes, health centers, and even railway platforms — to help protect 45 million children, supported by 400,000 dedicated workers across the country.

💪 This is the kind of life-changing work your support makes possible.

This World Polio Day, you can take action:
✅ Donate to the PolioPlus Fund

✅ Start a fundraiser on Raise for Rotary
✅ Share our video about how a polio outbreak led to medical advances

Together, we can make sure every child, in every community, is protected.
Let’s turn drops of vaccine into a future free from polio. 💜💧

If you weren't able to make it to this week's Valentine Rotary meeting, you missed a good one.

Valentine Public Library 📚 Librarian 📚Carrie Graham, shared with us some of the new things they have and are doing at the library.
We catered in Subway sandwiches and cookies for lunch.

What a Great resource our local library (and the great staff) is. Tune in to their FB page for updates and TBT posts that are always intriguing. Look up old newspaper articles on their website archive. So cool!

What an inspiring day for our club!

We were honored to welcome District 5630 Governor Sarah Cathcart at our meeting today. Governor Sarah reminded us that in Rotary, it’s not always the big international projects that change the world—it’s often the little things we do every day that leave the greatest impact. “Start with a smile. You never know who might need it today.” 💙💛

She left us with great stories and some fun tools for President Ann and our club to inspire our service this year!

We were also grateful that Sarah took the time to stop by our blood drive at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where many of our members and community friends roll up their sleeves to give the gift of life.

A huge thank you to Jeanie who holds it all together and everyone who donated, helped, or brought food.

Thank you, Ann, for making sure we had our new Rotary polos to wear with pride today. 👕

Together, in big ways and small, we’re making a difference.
