Building Skills, Giving Back, and Strengthening Community!

Our Ventura Reunion was all about getting our hands dirty, learning something new, and giving back!

Thanks to our incredible community partners, Pyles campers, staff, and alumni rolled up their sleeves to learn valuable, hands-on bicycle repair skills! From oiling and replacing chains to repairing tires and swapping out seats, everyone had the opportunity to build practical skills while making a difference in their community.

At R.M. Pyles Camp, we believe learning doesnโ€™t stop when summer ends. Our reunions are opportunities to reconnect, develop confidence, learn real-world skills, and discover the value of serving others.

A huge THANK YOU to our community partners and everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make this experience possible!

๐Ÿšฒ More than fixing bikes, weโ€™re building confidence, connections, and a lifelong commitment to giving back.

Know a young person who could benefit from Pyles Camp?

Weโ€™re already looking ahead to Summer 2027, and we want to hear from families who may be interested in joining the Pyles Camp community!

For more than 75 years, Pyles Camp has helped young people build confidence, independence, leadership skills, friendships, and a connection to the outdoors through unforgettable experiences in the Sequoia National Forest.

And thanks to our generous supporters, Pyles Camp is completely FREE for participating families.

If you have a child (Boy or Girl) who may be interested โ€” or you know a family with a young person who would benefit from the Pyles experience โ€” please complete or share our 2027 Interest Form:

๐Ÿ‘‰ https://forms.gle/Gh7MQrF7GH5RC3HG8

Completing the form lets our team know youโ€™re interested and helps us keep you informed as enrollment for 2027 approaches. This is an interest form and does not guarantee enrollment or commit your child to attending.

Already part of the Pyles family? Help us spread the word! Share this post with a friend, family member, school, coach, teacher, counselor, or community organization that works with young people.

Adventure. Friendship. Confidence. Leadership.
It all starts at Pyles.

We had an incredible day taking 25 Pyles campers to the Griffith Observatory! ๐Ÿ•๏ธ๐Ÿ”ญ
Our campers started the adventure by helping prepare and pack their own lunches before heading out for a hike up to the observatory. Once we reached the top, we enjoyed one of the dayโ€™s shows and spent time exploring the exhibits, learning about space, science, and the world around us. ๐ŸŒŽโœจ
Days like these are what Pyles is all about, giving young people opportunities to explore new places, learn together, challenge themselves, and create memories that will last long after camp. Huge shoutout to the Hispanic Coalition for supporting Pyles and making this opportunity possible! Thanks to them-
A great day of adventure, learning, teamwork, and fun! ๐Ÿฅพ๐ŸŒŒ

The GALS leave this morning for their out camp adventure. A continuation of this past Springโ€™s pilot program.

Back in 1949, Pyles was originally named R.M. Pyles Boys and Girls Camp. It is exciting to see Mr. Pyles dream turned a reality as we explore offering a girls program next summer.

Please keep an eye out on our social media and your email if you or your son attended Pyles camp.

We are collecting a survey of interested parents and campers so that we can began to plan, budget and fundraise for the girls!
