Our September calendar is here! 📅 Stop by the center to pick up your copy during our normal operating hours:

🕘 Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
🕘 Wednesday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

🇺🇸 Please note: We will be CLOSED Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

✨ Our next Reward Class is coming!
The next special reward experience will be Diamond Art and will take place over two days/nights in October and November. 💎 Participants will need to complete 4 hours of classes to earn an invitation.

📚 Remember to sign up! Some classes require registration, so be sure to sign up early to save your spot.

❤️ Senior Connection Update:
Our Senior Connection program has been relocated to Westside Baptist Church on Lankford Drive.

We’re looking forward to a wonderful September filled with learning, connection, growth, and community! 🌱

Good morning Valdosta! This week two of our connection programs return for the school year. Both our Senior Connection and our Single Mom's Connection will meet on Thursday. First the Senior Connection will meet at its new location, Westside Baptist Church, at 10am. The Single Mom's Connection will meet that evening at 6pm. We will be joining a parenting class that is already meeting to discuss strategies for parenting. We look forward to having everyone back. Next week the Mom's Connection returns.

We had a great night taking some of our dedicated volunteers and clients to Wild Adventures Theme Park for the for KING & COUNTRY concert last night. 🙌🏼The rain cooled things off a bit and helped produce a gorgeous double rainbow. 🌈🌈For King + Country have the best version of the Little Drummer Boy ever! Thank you Wild Adventures for the blessing of great memories that you gave us. ❤️🥰

Did you know that we had record attendance at summer reading this summer? We had 42 consistent attenders out of 53 registrations. 🎉🎉 As many of you know, Living Bridges is a hand up over hand out agency. Our kids earn different school supplies each week that they attend the program with those attending 5 out of the 7 weeks also receiving a back pack. 📕✏️✂️ Some of our supply stock was depleted this year. If you are out and about these next few weeks, if you could pick up an item or two from our wish list OR donate $5 on this post, we would love to bump our stock up while the cost is lower. We are so blessed by the support we receive when we share a need. Thank you ❤️ 🙌🏼

Last Friday was our Summer Reading Finale. The kids enjoyed having Valdosta Fire Department come and speak to them about fire safety. 🚒 The chief also read to them. They got to hang out with the cow 🐄 from Chick-fil-A North Valdosta and enjoyed Chick Fil A sandwiches for lunch. Kona Ice of Lowndes joined us, serving up snow cups as a treat which was perfect because it was hot, hot, hot 🥵. This was also the day our kids redeemed their points for prizes. More than $5000 in prizes went home with these kids. 🎉🚚 It was a great day and we are already looking forward to next summer. ❤️

🎉 August Birthdays Are Right Around the Corner! 🎉

Our August birthday bags are getting ready to go out soon, and we'd love your help making them extra special for the children we serve.

We're blessed to have plenty of chocolate cake mixes and chocolate frosting to carry us through the rest of the year.
Right now, though, we're in need of:

🎂 Yellow cake mixes
🧁 Cream cheese frosting
🎉 Additional birthday supplies from our requested items list

Please take a look at the list and pray about how you might be able to help. Every donation helps us celebrate a child and reminds them they are loved, valued, and worth celebrating.
