Last Friday, our Summer Reading families enjoyed our annual field trip at WAFT Radio , and what a memorable morning it was! Even though the temperatures were hot, hot, hot 🥵🔥, the WAFT team went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience for everyone.
From a misting tent to help everyone cool off, to bubbles, corn hole, beach balls, and a large tent where children could read with their mentors, every detail was planned with the enjoyment of our families in mind. They even transformed a jungle-themed book into an interactive adventure featuring lions 🦁 snakes🐍, monkeys🐵, and elephants🐘, giving everyone a chance to participate in the story.
A special thank you as well to Wild Adventures Theme Park for sending Asher and his crew to introduce our children to some amazing animals and share what it's like to work at Wild Adventures.
Most importantly, thank you to our families and reading mentors for showing up, encouraging our young readers, and making the day so special. We had an incredible time creating memories, building relationships, and continuing to build a love of reading together!

We are at the downtown makers market until 2pm. ⏰ Downtown Valdosta Main Street is trying something new so no one is set up around the square. Come see us on Ashley St between Central Ave and Hill St. We would love to send a plant 🌵 🪴🌱or two home with you today. Your purchase these plants helps us continue to serve in Valdosta. ❤️

These sunflowers are ready to greet you when you come for class or to volunteer today. This morning, our class is Understanding Your Credit Report with Maureen from 10am to 11am. Officer Randall Hancock from the Valdosta Police Dept will be in at 1pm to teach on Alcohol Awareness. Tonight, we have The Transformation Continues for our Transformations graduates. We will see you soon!

📅 Our June calendar is in full swing!
Join us today, Wednesday, June 3, for Conversational Spanish at 10:30 AM. Whether you're learning for the first time or brushing up on your skills, this class is a great opportunity to practice in a welcoming environment.
Looking ahead to Thursday, June 4: ✅ Understanding Your Credit Report – Learn how to read and understand the information that affects your financial future. ✅ Alcohol Awareness at 1:00 PM – Gain valuable information about the effects of alcohol and resources for making informed decisions.
All classes are offered through Living Bridges Ministry and are designed to provide practical knowledge, encouragement, and personal growth opportunities.

Our first Friday of Summer Reading was amazing! 😀

A huge thank you to our reading mentors, the parents who brought their children, and to Debra for leading our parent discussion time.

We are also grateful to the young ladies who have outgrown our Summer Reading program but came back to help pack our lunches for the families.

Thank you to our warehouse crew for making sure school supplies and prizes were ready to go. The kids were especially excited about their kites!

We also want to recognize our incredible Friday Lunch Bunch, who served more than 200 meals today between the senior lunch line and our Summer Reading lunches. What a blessing!

As we begin this summer journey, we invite you to join us in praying for a successful Summer Reading program—one that not only strengthens reading skills but also encourages, inspires, and blesses every child and family who participates.

Good morning. We hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. This is the schedule for today (Tuesday.) IF it is not raining, the walking group will leave the building at 9am. Volunteer hours are from 10am to 1pm. At 10:30am Living Fearless begins. This is class 1 of 12. Please bring your $5 for your book. Music of our lives begins at 1pm. This class is full. The community garden will be open from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. It is located at the Porch Community Church on Forrest Street Extension. Bible study with dinner will be at 7pm. Have a great day.
