This morning we joined TruthPoint to train their Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry volunteers, and it was a good Saturday.

Legacy Behavioral Health led QPR training, teaching volunteers how to recognize and respond when a young person may be struggling. The Georgia Red Cross taught hands only CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. And Lanier Family Connection conducted Mandated Reporting Training.

When the adults around our kids know what to look for and what to do, our whole community gets safer. We are thankful for volunteers who give up their Saturday morning to make that happen.

If your church, school, or organization wants Mandated Reporting Training, reach out to us. We would love to come to you.

Community Connections in Action!
A big thank you to Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers for hosting a wonderful Community Resource Fair and inviting local community partners to come together, connect with residents, and share valuable resources and services.
Legacy Behavioral Health was proud to be part of this event and help connect individuals and families with support available in their community. We are grateful for organizations like Goodwill Southern Rivers that create opportunities for collaboration and make it easier for people to find the resources they need.
When community partners come together, stronger communities are built!

We checked in with Legacy Behavioral Health Therapist, Lindsay Thomas, LMSW, for this Wellness Wednesday, and she had this to share...
" I prioritize myself by listening to what my mind and body need in the moment and giving myself permission to adjust. Some days that means slowing down, resting, and recharging; other days it may mean movement, connecting with others, or setting healthy boundaries. By checking in with myself and responding with intention rather than obligation, I can support my well-being and show up as my best self personally and professionally.
Wellness begins when we pause, listen to what our mind and body need, and respond with care.
As therapists at Legacy Behavioral Health, we support client well-being by meeting individuals where they are emotionally, mentally, and behaviorally. Through a person-centered, safe, and nonjudgmental approach, we help clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. We tailor evidence-based interventions—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches—to each person's strengths, needs, goals, and readiness for change.
Through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and collaborative goal-setting, we help clients build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, foster resilience, and create meaningful change.
Well-being begins when people feel seen, heard, and supported exactly where they are."

We're proud to share that Legacy Behavioral Health's Child & Adolescent Services earned an outstanding overall client satisfaction score of 89%! 🎉
This feedback reflects our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality behavioral healthcare while partnering with children, adolescents, and their families on their journey to wellness.

Our Client’s Feedback Matters! 💙
Every year, Legacy Behavioral Health invites our clients to participate in an annual satisfaction survey that helps us evaluate the quality of the services we provide. The results are reported to the State of Georgia, and in FY2026, the survey was administered at 16 Community Service Boards (CSBs) across the state.

More than 600 adult clients at Legacy Behavioral Health shared their experiences by rating six key areas:

Positive Outcomes
Improved Social Connectedness

We're proud to share that Legacy Behavioral Health earned an overall client satisfaction score of 87%!

Thank you to every client who took the time to provide honest feedback. Your voice helps us celebrate our successes, identify opportunities for growth, and continue providing compassionate, high-quality behavioral healthcare throughout South Georgia.

Overdose Prevention Starts with Support, Connection & Care.

August is Overdose Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness about overdose, promote harm reduction, and highlight the resources available to help save lives.

Legacy Behavioral Health’s Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program takes a comprehensive, team-based approach to recovery. Through medications, medical and therapy services, groups, case management, and peer support, our team works alongside individuals throughout their recovery journey.

As MAT Team Lead Jacquelyn Beuzekom shared:
“We assist individuals throughout their recovery journey using a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to harm reduction. Our services play an important role in reducing harm and helping prevent overdose. Our MAT program also installs Naloxone Distribution Boxes in all 10 counties we serve, providing intranasal Narcan to anyone who may need it. We’re very excited about the growth of this program and the opportunity to make these lifesaving resources more accessible throughout our communities.”

💜 Recovery is possible. Harm reduction saves lives. Narcan saves lives.

This Overdose Prevention Month, we’re proud to continue expanding access to treatment, support, and lifesaving resources across South Georgia.

Legacy Behavioral Health was honored to provide QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) su***de prevention training to the clients of the Goodwill Career Center! 💙
This was truly a wonderful group to teach—engaged, thoughtful, and eager to learn how to recognize the warning signs of su***de and connect someone with help. Every person trained becomes another link in the chain of support for our community.
Thank you to the Goodwill Career Center for partnering with us to promote mental health awareness and su***de prevention. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate South Georgia—one conversation at a time.
