Today, United2Prevent would like to publicly thank Bryan McRee, owner of Law Enforcement Management Systems (L.E.M.S.) for his generous donation in support of PROJECT 5:9 — United2Prevent’s first responder wellness initiative. 👮‍♂️👩‍🚒

Because of this donation, 3 first responders will now receive access to 6 combined clinical therapy and peer support sessions each through PROJECT 5:9. 👏

This is why partnerships like these matter.

First responders spend their lives protecting others while often carrying unseen trauma, stress, grief, and emotional exhaustion themselves. Through PROJECT 5:9, United2Prevent works to remove barriers and connect responders with trusted peer support and clinical resources before the weight becomes overwhelming.

These trainings equip individuals with the tools to recognize warning signs, start important conversations, and help connect people in crisis to support and resources.

United2Prevent was honored to support Project Overwatch and their First Responder Retreat for women 👩‍🚒👮

Through our sponsorship, we provided two scholarships for female firefighters to attend the retreat, including our board member Melissa Roe.

We are also proud of board member Leah McMillan, who spoke on “Why Therapy? – The Need & Benefits of First Responder Counseling” and volunteered her time as an on-site therapist to support attendees, answer questions, and provide resources.

The stories shared throughout the retreat were inspiring, and it was incredible to see the impact this program has. ❤️
