Dear current and future Valdosta High School families,

Your student is invited to join us on an upcoming educational travel experience to JAPAN in June 2026.

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world around them, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.

VHS will host SAT School Day on Thursday, October 26, 2023. This test administration is for SENIORS only, and space is limited to 75 students. See your School Counselor to sign up!

Any Juniors who would like to take the PSAT for the National Merit Scholarship in October, see your School Counselor for more information. Juniors may participate in the SAT School Day administration in the Spring.

Attention Freshmen and Sophomores!

The application process is open for the Fall 2023 Leadership Lowndes Youth Program. The applications are due on May 3, 2023!

The Leadership Lowndes Youth Program is open to Fall 2023 members of the sophomore and junior classes.

Students selected to participate in the program will have an opportunity to:

• developing leadership skills

• network with other students and community leaders

• become involved in service projects designed to address community needs and opportunities.

Applications for the Fall 2023 Leadership Lowndes Youth Program are available in the VHS Guidance Office.

The Leadership Lowndes Youth selection committee will begin accepting applications on April 3, 2023.
