💼✨ Tour Day Recap | Part 5: Purpose, Passion & Possibilities ✨💼

Our second stop and final experience of Tour Day was with Mrs. Alyssa Foskey from the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center at Valdosta State University! 💕

Mrs. Foskey poured into our young ladies, sharing wisdom about navigating life as young women and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. From starting and growing a business to identifying what sets it apart from competitors and understanding its target audience, she gave our sisters so much to think about! 🌟

Beyond business, she shared her testimony—and her words touched the hearts of our sisters. What a blessing to learn from someone willing to share both her knowledge and her faith! 🙌🏽

Thank you, Mrs. Foskey, for encouraging our sisters and blessing our hearts. Finally meeting you in person was such a special, full-circle moment! 💗
The Lord is truly an awesome God. The way He works and brings special people into our lives “for such a time as this” is a beautiful reminder of His purpose and perfect timing. ✝️✨

Sincerely Sisters extends a heartfelt thank you to South Georgia Medical Center for welcoming our young ladies for an unforgettable Tour Day!

From Labor & Delivery and the ambulance team to the ER and Cancer Center, each experience gave our sisters a closer look at healthcare and the many opportunities to serve others. Your teams shared knowledge, answered questions, and encouraged our girls to imagine what their futures could hold! 🩺✨

Thank you for sharing your journeys into healthcare and offering words of encouragement that left a meaningful impression on our sisters. 💕

Our sisters continued their SGMC journey with a visit to the Cancer Center—a place where compassion, courage, and hope mean so much. 💕

They learned about three major approaches to treating cancer: chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, gaining a better understanding of cancer care and the professionals who support patients throughout their journey. 🩺

This meaningful stop reminded our sisters that a career in healthcare offers opportunities to bring knowledge, kindness, and encouragement to others! 🌟

Our hospital adventure continued with a visit to SGMC’s Emergency Room! Our sisters learned about how the ER operates and the teamwork, quick thinking, and compassion that go into caring for patients when they need it most. They also heard about the adrenaline that comes with working in such a fast-paced environment! 💕

A special thank you to SGMC Health ER team, especially Ms. Joy and Mr. Marquez, for sharing so much knowledge with our sisters! Hearing their personal stories about why they became registered nurses brought these career possibilities to life. Their encouragement reminded our girls that their dreams are worth pursuing! 🌟

🩺✨ Tour Day Recap | Part 1 ✨🩺

Oh, the places our sisters can go! 💕 We kicked off our morning at SGMC Health, with our first stop in the Labor & Delivery Department—where tiny arrivals make a BIG impact! 👶🏽🏥

From learning about pregnancies, full-term babies, and medical procedures to understanding the care NICU babies need and exploring the road to becoming a labor and delivery nurse, our sisters learned so much! This visit gave them a glimpse into the knowledge, compassion, and dedication it takes to care for mothers and their little ones. 💗

Today’s experience could spark tomorrow’s calling! 🌟 Thank you to SGMC’s Labor & Delivery team for welcoming our sisters and sharing your world with them!

Good evening, parents and sisters! 💕 This is your final reminder that our Career Exploration Tour Day is tomorrow, Monday, October 12! We’re excited for a day of exploring careers and learning from professionals in our community!

⏰ Our schedule:

• 8:30 a.m.: Arrive at Morning Star Baptist Church.
• 9:00 a.m.: We will leave the church promptly. Please be on time!
• 9:30–11:00 a.m.: Tour several departments at South Georgia Medical Center.
• Possible visit with Dr. Lynn Lee, if her schedule permits.
• Lunch at Chick-fil-A following our morning visits.
• 1:30–2:30 p.m.: Meet with our special guest, Ms. Alyssa Foskey from VSU, at the church! She will speak about how businesses operate and how to start a business.
• 3:00 p.m.: Pick-up at Morning Star Baptist Church.

👚 All sisters must wear their SS shirt with a nice pair of pants/jeans. Please no rips or tattered pants /jeans, and wear shoes for walking. Each sister will have a name lanyard while on the tour.

Sisters, come ready to listen, ask questions, and discover new possibilities for your future!

Good afternoon, parents! Happy Sunday to each of you! 💕 Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Sincerely Sisters events in October:

🎨 Saturday, October 10 — Community Service Day
Arrive by 8:00 AM | J. L. Lomax Elementary School, 1450 Howell Rd.
The sisters will help with the school’s Color Run in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by throwing colored powder onto the runners. Please confirm your daughter’s attendance in the Band poll if you have not already done so. We need an accurate headcount.

🚌 Monday, October 12 — Tour Day
Since the sisters will be on fall break, we have another tour day. I am currently the finalized the two places and time we will meet at the church. At the moment, I am still finalizing two of three career fields. I will announce all three once time have been set. Tours days last for most of the day. If you would like your child to be apart please respond to the poll within band.

🧵 Saturday, October 17 — Sewing Class with Mrs. Henderson
1:00 PM | Morning Star Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
The sisters will spend time learning sewing skills together with Ms. Henderson.
