We remember the lives lost too soon. We remember the names, the faces, the stories, and the people who were deeply loved.

Today, we also pray for peace and comfort for every family and friend carrying the weight of that loss. May they know they are not alone.

Every life mattered. Every story mattered. And today, we remember. 💜

It’s kinda chic to care. ✨
(Pardon the cringy trend, we heard it helps spread the word 🤣😂) But for real…
Cold water. A quick snack. Something for breakfast. A rain poncho or umbrellas for when the weather turns.
They may seem like small things, but when you’re living outside, small things can make a really big difference.
Our cooling & snack station is stocked and ready to help our neighbors in need get through these hot days with a little more comfort and care.
Because compassion never goes out of style. 💛
If you would like to drop off any water or snacks for the cooling station, stop by River of Life Church and leave them on the table. We will get them to the right place promptly.

Another individual moved one step closer to restoration today. ❤️
This week, we were able to help another one of our neighbors get the documentation needed to obtain an ID. It may seem like a small thing, but an ID can open so many doors—employment, housing, a bank account, services, and greater independence.
Restoration doesn’t always happen in huge moments. Sometimes, it happens one piece of paper, one opportunity, and one person at a time.
Days like today make every bit of it worth it. 💚

Addiction reveals something uncomfortable: you are capable of giving something your attention, time, energy, and devotion over and over again.

The problem isn't always that you lack discipline.

Sometimes your discipline has simply been surrendered to the wrong master.

You can wake up thinking about it, spend your day pursuing it, sacrifice for it, and return to it even when you know it's hurting you. That's devotion.

And whatever receives that kind of devotion can begin to take the place that belongs to God.

The answer isn't to become less devoted.

It's to redirect your devotion toward the One who deserves it.
