Meet Sara Mora, a Raytheon Leaders in Education Award finalist in the Middle School Division! She currently teaches 6th - 8th Grade Career Technical Education (Digital Media) at Wrightson Ridge School in the Sahuarita Unified School District #30.
With 15 years of experience, Sara Mora is passionate about empowering students and colleagues through real-world learning and service. As the founding Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Digital Media teacher at Wrightson Ridge, she built the program from the ground up — helping middle schoolers explore careers, plan for their futures, and develop hands-on tech skills. Sara also leads students in producing weekly news videos, managing school social media, and designing the yearbook. Beyond the classroom, she mentors new teachers, leads professional development, and co-facilitates a CommunityShare fellowship for community-engaged learning. Sara’s support extends to statewide and virtual communities, where she builds networks for teachers and facilitates workshops.
Active in her local community, Sara volunteers her tech skills for the Sahuarita Educational Enrichment Foundation, supports her church’s tech and music teams, and teaches at Vacation Bible School each summer. Guided by her motto, “Live to Serve,” Sara’s leadership, generosity, and expertise make a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and her community.
Sara is one of twelve finalists that will be recognized at our upcoming Stand Up 4 Teachers event. Four awardees will be announced at the event and will receive a prize of $2,500, plus an additional $2,500 grant for their district. The remaining finalists will also receive $500 each. All cash prizes are sponsored by Raytheon, an RTX Business.
Please join us in celebrating Sara at Stand Up 4 Teachers, presented by ORielly Chevrolet Tucson & Jim Click Automotive Team, on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 5:30pm at the TCC Leo Rich Theater!
