These pups have a deadline of 10/11!

“EP” = Emergency Placement. “EP adoption only,” means the dog needs an adopter/permanent home rather than a regular foster placement. So Pip and Dino need to be adopted to meet that placement requirement.

“Census” = shelter population/capacity. A “census” deadline means the dog is at risk primarily because PACC is overcrowded and needs kennel space, rather than necessarily because that individual dog has a serious behavioral or medical issue. PACC explicitly says dogs may be placed on deadlines when its dog census is critically high and kennel space becomes limited.

If you are in southern AZ and looking to adopt, please consider one of these pups at Pima Animal Care Center

Shooting an animal while he/she is searching for food on your property after being dumped on the streets will never be ok.

He is safe and loved now but we are watching!

We had the opportunity to visit Santa Cruz County Animal Care & Control today. We thank Anne Minten for coordinating the introduction.

They have an amazing staff but the influx of animals that come to them from not only Santa Cruz County, but also those animals coming in over the MX border one mile away makes it very difficult for both our 4 and 2-legged friends.

They are doing their best but could use support, especially with the only rescue in their area, Santa Cruz Humane Society, closing down in a matter of months due to lack of funding.

ASAP Rescue was created to support the hardest hit areas and to help the ones who are the least represented and doing the most work.

If you see a dog or cat here that you are interested in adopting, please reach out. Cat video in comments.

Transport can be arranged within AZ, if you are approved to adopt.
