Vail, AZ community resource for 4th of July Events

05/23/2026

All options in the Vail area have been explored and unfortunately none of them are a viable option for this event to continue. Perhaps the creation of the Esmond regional park will change the situation 🤷🏻‍♀️

Calling all Patriots and Fourth of July enthusiasts. A Colossal Fourth wants YOU! We want individuals who would like to shape the future of this event as we begin exploring a return of A Colossal Fourth in 2025. We are holding our first exploratory meeting and would like you to join us as we bring this fun family-friendly event back to Vail!

We are meeting at 6pm on July 15th, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Vail Church. All are welcome, and this is a great opportunity to join a great event, and shape the future of it!

We are no longer able to celebrate with fireworks at Del Lago due to new construction. The recent homes are within the fallout zone. We have tried to find a new location but have not found a way to have fireworks.

The committee is still active and hosted a "Prickly Pear Parade and Jamboree" last year and will host this event again on September 10, 2022 at Del Lago. The event celebrates our heritage and the Vail community.

If someday Vail has a town park or location that works, we can re-introduce fireworks again.
