Kick off Arizona Public Lands Action Week with us! 🏜️

We’re hosting a letter writing party, where we will be writing hand-written letters to members of Congress asking them to defend public lands and to tell the Trump administration hands off our national monuments and other important public lands.

Join us at our office in Phoenix to write letters and learn more about upcoming actions you can take this week to stand up for public lands!

The Cienega Watershed Partnership is working with the Friends of Sonoita Creek and the Mountain Empire Trails Association to make this happen.

This trail will be dedicated to Tom Meixner, former Department Head and Professor in the University of Arizona Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences and beloved Chair of the Cienega Watershed Partnership.

This trail will carry on Tom's legacy of connecting people to nature.

Sharing in unity with indigenous peoples who share concerns about mining's impacts on life.

"Demon Mineral" documents the Indigenous struggle for vital living space in the radioactive desert of the American Southwest. Spanning the breadth of the Navajo Nation, in a landscape perforated by abandoned uranium mines, the film unearths efforts to reclaim sacred homeland. Shot over the course of 4 years with Diné (Navajo) community oversight and guidance, the film examines the legacy of uranium extraction from the perspectives of both the landscape and its inhabitants.

Demon Mineral's TUCSON screening, while on their US Tour, is March 13 at 3!
The other March 12 times are for Radio Active and Downwind, respectively; also both great films!
