Happy October Mountain Lions!!

Our October PTA newsletter is packed with everything happening at Ocotillo Ridge this month! Be sure to check it out so you don't miss all the fun coming up!

We are still in need of candy and trinkets for our upcoming Trunk or Treat!!

We also have 6 trunk spots left! We appreciate you signing up and bringing the festive spirit to our community!

There is a NEW FUNDRAISER coming up on the 29th! Star Car Wash- swing by, scan the flyer, and ORE will get 30% of ALL SALES, ALL DAY!!! Share this flyer with family and friends!

TRUNK OR TREAT PREP IS UNDERWAY! 🎃

School may be out, but your ORE PTA is still working hard behind the scenes getting ready for Trunk or Treat! 👻🍬 And we need your help with a little project!

🥤 WE NEED 20–25 EMPTY 2-LITER BOTTLES! 🥤

While you’re enjoying break, please save your empty 2-liter soda bottles for us! Instead of tossing them in the recycling bin, rinse them out, keep the lids on, and set them aside for PTA. 💚💙

📅 Drop-off: Monday, October 19th

Every bottle helps us create something fun for Trunk or Treat! 🎃

We have a busy final week before Fall Break, Mountain Lions! 🦁🍂 Here’s what’s happening around ORE:

💛 KINDNESS SPIRIT WEEK — ALL WEEK!
Let’s fill our campus with kindness!
💚 Monday: Green for Gratitude — wear GREEN
🍎 Tuesday: Thankful for Staff — dress like a staff member you appreciate OR wear their favorite color
🌈 Wednesday: Light Up for Kindness — wear bright colors
💙 Thursday: Campus Kindness — wear ORE spirit wear/colors
😴 Friday: Cozy Up to Kindness — wear your PJs!

📝 BENCHMARKS
Advanced Math Benchmarks for 2nd–5th grade will take place Wednesday & Thursday. Please help students arrive on time, well rested, and ready to do their best!

🦁 PTA MEETING
Join us Friday, September 25 at 2:30 PM in the Library. We’d love to see you there!

☀️ 3rd Grade Families: Solar Ovens are Friday at 1:00 PM!

🍬 TRUNK OR TREAT NEEDS YOU!
Our candy drive is underway, and we need LOTS of candy and non-candy goodies to make this year’s Trunk or Treat a success! With Fall Break taking away several weeks of collection time, this week is especially important. Please send in a bag (or two 😉) and drop donations in the PTA Monster in the front office! 🎃🍭

🐾 LOOKING AHEAD: Have a future Mountain Lion? Kindergarten Round-Up is coming November 18 at 5:00 PM in the ORE MPR! Children who will be 5 before September 1, 2027 are invited. 💙💚

🚨🍬 URGENT CALL FOR CANDY & NON-CANDY DONATIONS! 🍬🚨

Trunk or Treat will be here before we know it, and we need your help STOCKING UP! 🎃👻

Because of Fall Break, we’ll be losing THREE WEEKS of collection time, and our Trunk or Treat is happening the week we return! That means THIS WEEK is incredibly important for donations!

🍫 Individually wrapped candy
🍭 Lollipops & gummies
🍬 Chocolate & other treats
🎃 Non-candy trinkets, toys & prizes

It takes A LOT of candy to make Trunk or Treat happen! With so many students and families joining us, every single bag donated makes a difference.

🛒 Please consider grabbing an extra bag (or two!) while you’re shopping this week and sending it in to school.

Our goal is to have plenty for every trunk so we can make this a fun and successful night for our ORE families! 💚💙

📚💚 THAT’S A WRAP ON BOOK FAIR WEEK! 💙📚

What an AMAZING week! As our Book Fair comes to an end, we are feeling incredibly grateful for our ORE community. 🥹💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who shopped the fair, supported our Teacher Wishlists, played the Claw Machine, dropped coins into Scuba Max, donated, volunteered, and helped make this week such a success!

✨ BOOK FAIR BY THE NUMBERS:
📚 Book Fair Sales: $17,500! 🤯
🕹️ Claw Machine: $195 raised
🤿 Scuba Max + Donations: $73 raised
👕 21 ORE shirts sold!

Seeing our students so excited about BOOKS all week was the very best part! 📖✨ And every book purchased and every little extra contribution helps us continue doing fun things and supporting our students, teachers, and school.

We are especially grateful to everyone who purchased books from our Teacher Wishlists and helped add new books directly to ORE classrooms. 🍎📚

ORE families—you continue to SHOW UP, and we cannot thank you enough! 💚💙
