A new school year brings new opportunities, challenges, and dreams. Through Strengthening the Journey, we are coming together as a community to help ensure local students have the supplies they need to begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed. ✨

We are grateful to the Fairfield Police Department and Chief Solano 1851 for hosting this backpack and school supply drive in support of local youth and families. Their leadership and commitment to our community help strengthen the journey for students as they prepare for the year ahead. 📚✂️✏️📓📎📏🎒

Community members are invited to donate new backpacks and school supplies, for all school age children, during the collection period listed on the flyer. To arrange a donation drop-off, please contact Fairfield PD or Chief Solano 1851 directly using the information provided.

For questions about the drive or to learn more about SAVV's services, please contact SAVV at (707) 820-7288. We will post more information regarding the giveaway soon!

Together, we can help strengthen the journey—one backpack, one student, and one act of kindness at a time. 💙

Our hearts are heavy today.
Last night, what should have been a joyful celebration ended in tragedy. A graduation ceremony—meant to mark a milestone and a new beginning—was interrupted by an act of violence that left one person dead, others injured, and an entire community grieving.
This happened here, in our community. To our neighbors. To our families. To our young people.
Today, our hearts are with the family mourning the loss of their loved one, with those who were injured, and with every student, parent, educator, and community member affected by this heartbreaking event.
We also extend our gratitude to the first responders, who responded quickly and worked through an incredibly difficult situation. In moments of crisis, their service and dedication matter deeply.
Violence leaves a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the immediate scene. It impacts families, friends, classmates, and entire communities. We recognize the fear, sadness, and uncertainty many may be feeling today.
As our community begins to process this tragedy, may we continue to support one another with compassion, kindness, and care.
Today, we mourn. We grieve. And we stand together.
With sympathy and support,
SAVV – Solano Advocates for Victims of Violence

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten. On this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect with gratitude and respect for those who gave everything for our nation and for the families who continue to carry their memory forward. 🇺🇸

May 5, 2026 was a powerful day of advocacy, unity, and action. 💙

We proudly stood at the State Capitol representing Solano Advocates for Victims of Violence, using our voices to advocate for the protection and funding of critical survivor services.

This day was about more than policy — it was about real survivors, real families, and real lives that depend on these essential resources.

As advocates serving all of Solano County, we remain committed to fighting for survivors and Victims of violence.

We showed up. We spoke up. And we will continue pushing for change.

Because survivor services save lives. ✨

✨ April Recap ✨
April was a powerful month of advocacy, awareness, healing, and community connection for SAVV. 💙
Throughout the month, our team had the privilege of participating in events that uplift survivors, educate our community, and honor victims throughout Solano County.
🌸 April 2 — We hosted our Easter Egg Resource Fair alongside incredible community partners who came together to provide resources and support to families in our community. With nearly 500 attendees, it was a beautiful day filled with connection, information, and joy.
💙 April 13 — We attended Pinwheels for Prevention in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month, an impactful event hosted by Fairfield, CA Police Department and CASA of Solano County reminding us all of the importance of protecting and advocating for children.
✈️April 15- SAVV attended Travis Air Force Base Family Fun Fest. Our advocates had a blast connecting with the community and all the agencies present.
🫶 April 17 — SAVV held an Essentials Self-Care Giveaway featuring donated care bundles from United Church of God to support our clients with items centered around healing and self-care.
🕯 April 22 — We were honored to participate in National Crime Victims’ Rights Week hosted by the Solano county Solano County District Attorney's Office. During the event, SAVV’s Lead Family Advocate, Rosa, was one of the keynote speakers, as well as Tanya, Executive Director of Victims Empowerment Support Team VEST, as well as two courageous mothers who shared their experiences after losing their sons to violence. Their words served as a powerful reminder of why advocacy, support, and community matter.
🌏April 22 - SAVV was also invited to table at Solano Solano Community College Earth Day resource fair. The team enjoyed meeting all the amazing organizations who help keep our earth clean and the free plants!
🌟 April 23 — We attended SANE SART's Fueling the Frontline Breakfast, celebrating and recognizing individuals dedicated to supporting survivors and victims throughout our community.
🕊 April 24 — We stood alongside our community and The Children's Network of Solano County during Children's Memorial Flag Day to recognize the children lost to violence and abuse everywhere and within our community in Solano County. Their memories continue to remind us why this work matters.
🎗 April 28 — Our advocates joined other agencies from across Solano County at the Vallejo City Council meeting where April was officially recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We were honored to stand alongside fellow advocates and community partners to receive the proclamation and continue bringing awareness to the importance of supporting survivors.
📚April 29- SAVV was present at Muzetta Thrower Adult Education Center's resource fair. We had an amazing time getting to know all the incredible buisnesses and organizations who were in attendence.
👖 April 29 — We partnered with members from FFPD's Special Victims Unit for our annual Denim Day event to raise awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and stand in support of survivors everywhere. Thank you to the deputies who stopped by to say hi and to learn about denim day.
Thank you to every community partner, advocate, volunteer, survivor, and supporter who stood with us this month. Advocacy does not end when April does — and we remain committed to continuing this work every single day.
We hear you. We see you. We believe you. 💙

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Your mental health matters every single day, not just when things get overwhelming. It's okay not to have everything figured out.
You are not alone. There is strength in speaking up, healing, and supporting one another.
Lets continue to break the stigma and create space for honest conversations. 💚
