Chinese American Association of Solano County

Chinese American Association of Solano County Our mission is to promote the advancement, betterment, and friendship of its members, the Chinese American community, and the local communities.

In the Spring of 1996, a small group of Chinese Americans gathered to discuss the possibility of forming an association. An organizing committee was established to create a mission statement and bylaws. Within weeks, a membership drive began in earnest with the mailing of hundreds of letters to Solano County Chinese Americans. July 1996 marked the official establishment of the Chinese American Ass

ociation of Solano County (CAASC). The mission of CAASC is promote the advancement, betterment, and friendship of its members, the Chinese American community, and the local communities. We offer scholarships to local students, participate in community activities, and promote economic and professional interests of its members and community. We also display our culture and song each year during the Fiesta Day Parade in Vacaville and the 4th of July Parade in Fairfield, both of which we have garnered placed showings in the competition. One of our largest contributions to the local communities is through our CAASC Scholarship Program, available to all high schools within Solano County. To date, we have given over $254,000 in cash scholarship to well-deserving high school seniors of the county. We have been able to continue our scholarship program since 1996 through our largest fund raiser event of the year, our Annual Chinese New Year Celebration event, held around February.
