Soooo proud of Chowder (he still has on Mack's ID tag). He wore his big boy pants and misted his way right into his sparkling pool 🌫️. Kiddie pools, horse troughs, misters, shade cloths, and trees 🌳 are the ticket around here for keeping our outdoor Buckaroos cool, comfy, and protected from the heat. It's a must to take all precautions when it's hot outside. Our animals depend on us to keep them comfortable. May I add Chowder is a gift here at the sanctuary 💟. A big hunk of ❤️ love. 😁GOOD NEWS for our Princess Warrior Athena 👸🏼
Her 2 week check up shows her medicine is working. Her blood pressure is good 👍
✅This little cutie was yet another gift from Solano Sheriff’s Animal Control We are so happy to have this angel. Her previous life was far from good. 🤬Poor Athena was a matted mess with an infected leg, overgrown nails, fleas and a snappy disposition. Can you blame her ? So many cruel 👿 and irresponsible people make me sick to my stomach 🤮. She’s a princess here for the rest of her precious life
✅ If you’re ready for a lifetime commitment check out your local animal shelter Big or Small they have them ALL. Maybe you can adopt one of each . 😌😌We♥️LOVE all our Buckaroos 🤠🤠

Another day, Another Vet Visit .. Miss Sweet Pea has some questionable lumps and bumps that returned on her stomach and chest. So off we went so Dr. Budgeon could do a recheck and a few more tests .. Please send Sweet Pea aka “Miss P’s” some good thoughts 🙏🏻♥️🩷💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

🧑‍⚕️Here we go again 🏥 Moses, Hazel and Saffron off to see Dr. Mack. Waiting room takeover . Moses has a growth on his eyelid as does Saffron. Hazel has several lipomas. A couple are growing too fast.

Getting ready for the heat🌞The pups have some new shade cloths, a couple of kids pools, new misters. The well water does a number on them. I actually could sit with the Buckaroos all day. Being misted 💦 under the mulberry tree 🌳 But I digress work continues. Speaking of trees if your looking for a fast growing, animal safe tree mulberry is the shade tree for YOU 🫵 Oh and maybe a new four legged family member from one of our local shelters

🩷27 hrs. Later our little Princess warrior Athena is home 😌 resting
🩷Last night about 1:30 AM her breathing became difficult so off to SPEC we went. So happy they got us in right away
🩷She has had wheezing issues since we adopted her and thought all was being managing with medication, last night was different.
Although at her age of 13 she does have some issues with her heart further testing found the main culprit is pulmonary hypertension. High blood pressure in the blood vessels in her lungs. She is starting on a new medication and we hope it does the trick .
🩷We love our little tripod so much. Please think good thoughts for our little Athena♥️♥️♥️♥️
