💔 Just 6 weeks old… and already a survivor. 🐾

This tiny baby was found living alone in a dark, filthy alley, trying to survive without her mama. At only about 6 weeks old, she had already been on her own for a while in conditions no little kitten should ever have to endure.

She wasn’t always alone. 💔 She had a sibling with her, but sadly, we believe her sibling may have succumbed to the harsh environment before we were able to get there and save them.

Thankfully, we were able to rescue this little girl. ❤️

She’s safe now. She’s warm. She has food in her belly, a clean place to sleep, and people looking after her. No more dark alley. No more wondering where her next meal will come from.

But rescue doesn’t stop once we get them off the streets. This little girl will need food, vaccines, deworming, spay surgery, and any other medical care she may need before she’s ready for her forever home. 🐱💕

As your cat ages, their testicles form and will gradually descend to their sc***um, the sac of skin designed to hold and protect them. This process of the testicles moving down into the sc***um occurs between 3 to 6 weeks of age.

Kittens that are neutered between the ages of 8 weeks to 6 months will have fewer postoperative complications due to the size and development of the reproductive organs.

Recovery times will be shorter, and cats will have a lower chance of displaying secondary hormone behaviors that occur around 5-6 months of age, such as:

Spraying

Marking

Attempting to escape for mating

Vocalizing

Fighting with others
