We honor Sean Monterrosa in everything we do. From the food we plant to the victims of police brutality and murder we scream names for, we honor Sean.
Sending love to the family and friends today and solidarity everyday
RP Six years since Sean was taken from us. Six years of missing his laugh, his presence, and all the moments we should have shared together.
Anniversaries like this are never easy. They remind us not only of what was taken from our family, but also of the incredible person Sean was and continues to be in the hearts of so many people.
Over the last six years, we have learned that grief is love. The ache of missing Sean exists because of how deeply we loved him and how much he meant to our family, our friends, and our community.
While we wish Sean were here with us, we remain committed to honoring the life he lived. His legacy lives on in every family that has found support, every young person who has been encouraged to keep going, every act of community care, and every person who continues to speak his name.
Our faith has carried us through the hardest moments of this journey. When we felt broken, exhausted, or uncertain, God sustained us. Our community has reminded us time and time again that we do not walk this path alone.
We did not choose this journey, but we believe we have been called to it. To love harder. To show up for others. To stand alongside impacted families. To continue building the kind of world Sean deserved to live in.
Today we remember Sean not only for what was done to him, but for who he was, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend, and community member whose life continues to impact so many.
We love you. We miss you. We carry you with us every day.
