The Greyson Hound Foster Fund

The Greyson Hound Foster Fund We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping dogs in need. We are dedicated to transparency of funds. We thank you for your support. Karyn, Greyson & Carla

The Greyson Hound Foster Fund is a 501c3 nonprofit that was conceived out of the need to help families & organizations fostering rescued hounds here in the states and overseas. Many of these pups come from situations that leave them with medical needs, or transportation costs to get them to a safe place. Between the three of us we have volunteered and worked with a variety of international & domes

tic shelters, and organizations for the last twenty years. Each product has a breakdown of printing, shipping, and donation amount. To assure our funds are going directly to the foster pup in need, we have a policy that we only send funds directly to veterinary offices and to reputable rescue groups.

Milasha is a sweet, joyful girl looking for her forever home, and she deserves a family who will give her the love, patience, belly rubs, and quality time she’s been waiting for. Milasha came from Kuwait, where she was unfortunately kept in a birdcage in the Friday Markets with her brothers and sisters. As a result, she has a slightly deformed foot. Thankfully, she has been evaluated and it doesn’t bother her at all, she can run and play like lightning!

She is an incredibly loving companion who gets along wonderfully with people of all ages and other dogs. Her current family loves her dearly, but due to financial circumstances, they’re unable to install the fencing needed to keep her safe.
Now, they’re hoping to find Milasha a loving family where she can be safe, happy, and cherished.

Please see the details in the photo for additional information.

Interested in Milasha joining your family? Please reach out to us by emailing [email protected]. We can also help in coordinating her transport.
Donation Adoption Fee: $250

Please share to help Milasha find the family she deserves. Thank you.

We have donated to Candy’s Hound Rescue International for years, even before we created The Greyson Foster Fund. The work they do is heartbreaking, difficult, and absolutely essential. Every year, they help save hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of lives from the horrific dog meat trade.

This weekend, Candy’s team seized hundreds of dogs from a meat truck. We have never been an organization that shares the truly graphic images we encounter in rescue, but we also recognize that these horrors are the reality these dogs face.
I went back and forth about sharing a screenshot of the hundreds of dogs — dogs of all breeds and sizes, crammed into tiny cages and living in absolutely deplorable conditions. In the end, I simply couldn’t bring myself to share it. Instead, I want you to focus on these photos that Candy’s shared of their shelter volunteers giving these souls something they may have never known before: love, kindness, safety, and care.
Many people have asked me whether the dog meat trade in China is really happening. That is one of the reasons I wanted to share this story. I think the reality is so horrific and difficult to comprehend that some people believe it must be an urban legend, that something this awful couldn’t possibly be true. I wish that were the case.

Thankfully, organizations like Candy’s have boots on the ground, working tirelessly to rescue these dogs and fight to end the dog meat trade. Some people look at celebrities and see superheroes. To me, Keri, the founder of Candy’s, is both a celebrity and a superhero. Her courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to these dogs are truly extraordinary.

Thank you, as always, to our incredible supporters. Because of you, we are able to continually support organizations like Candy’s and help give these dogs the chance at a life they deserve. They deserve to know love. They deserve to be safe. And they deserve to live.

Over the weekend, we made a donation to House of Hounds USA to help support their medical needs. Like so many of the animal rescue organizations we work with around the world, they are doing the incredibly difficult and often heartbreaking work of saving these precious souls.

This is Saeed, just one of the many Salukis they have rescued in Dubai. We are so grateful to House of Hounds for everything they do to give these sweet dogs a second chance at life. We simply cannot thank them enough.

And to our amazing supporters, THANK YOU. Your generosity allows us to continue helping rescue dogs in need, not just here at home, but worldwide.

Hello, it’s Karyn. I wanted to take a moment to personally say thank you to everyone who has continued to support us, even though we haven’t been as active on social media or hosting our own events as much lately. I know it may sometimes look like we’ve been quiet, but I want you to know that we haven’t stopped. We are still working hard behind the scenes to raise funds and help dogs in need. We have just had to find different ways to do it.

The truth is, organizing and hosting our own events takes an incredible amount of time and energy. It has also become harder to find businesses that are able to donate their spaces. I completely understand that. Businesses are doing everything they can to keep their doors open and stay strong, and this is not a criticism of them in any way. We simply understand that it is a lot to ask, and we have not wanted to keep reaching out.

Carla and I both work full time, and like all of you, we have many other time consuming responsibilities, in addition to being involved with other animal welfare organizations. Over time, we have had to take a step back and look at where we can make the biggest impact with the time and energy we have available. We have found that being vendors at larger events, rather than putting all of the time and effort into organizing our own, has generally been a much more effective way for us to raise funds.

On a personal level, the past couple of years have also been challenging for me. I have been dealing with some continual health issues that have limited me physically and have made things like spending time on the computer, much more difficult. That has affected how often I am able to post, respond, and share updates. I know I could do better about keeping everyone informed, and I am going to try. There are so many dogs we have been able to help because of your support, and I never want our lack of posts to give the impression that the work has stopped. It hasn’t.

If you know of grant opportunities for certified nonprofits, fundraising opportunities, businesses that work with animal rescues, or other ideas that could help us continue raising funds, please comment below or send us a message. We are always open to suggestions and new ideas.

And truly, thank you.
Thank you for sticking with us. Thank you for donating, sharing our posts, coming to our events, supporting us at other events, checking in, and simply caring about what we do.
Your support has allowed us to help so many rescue dogs, both here and around the world. We may not always be as visible as we once were, but we are still here, still working, and still doing everything we can for the dogs. We could not do it without you.

Meet Hope. Hope is a dog with a heartbreaking past who is now receiving incredible care from Kerry and her team at Candy’s Hound Rescue .

When Hope was rescued in China, she had suffered unimaginable trauma... a severely broken snout, one back leg that had been crudely amputated, and a front leg that had previously been broken and was so badly infected that there was little to no chance of saving it.

Thanks to Candy's, along with the generosity of many individuals and organizations, Hope has received the lifesaving care she desperately needed. Her treatments have included laser therapy to fight infection, calcium treatments, blood transfusions to treat severe anemia, and ultimately the amputation of her infected front leg. Kerry has been documenting Hope's journey every step of the way, and this little girl continues to amaze everyone with her resilience.

The hardest part of her journey is behind her, but she's not finished yet. Hope has already been fitted for a wheelchair, and a prosthetic may be part of her future. For now, this incredible two-legged warrior is adapting far better than anyone could have imagined.

We'd love to help ease the financial burden of Hope's ongoing veterinary care while also supporting the many survivors of the China meat trade that Candy's continues to rescue.

If you'd like to help, you can donate directly to Candy’s or visit greyfosterfund.org to donate via PayPal or Venmo. Please include "Hope" in the donation notes so your gift goes toward her care. Every donation, big or small, helps Hope and so many other deserving dogs get the second chance they deserve. Thank you.

I’m currently in Sedona celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary, and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than visiting the The Humane Society of Sedona and sponsoring the adoption fees for four deserving pups, along with an additional donation toward their medical care. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we were able to help Cooper, Lambo, Gemstone, and Onyx yesterday. 💚 We are so grateful to everyone who continues to support our mighty little nonprofit. Your generosity, combined with the passion of two slightly dog-obsessed ladies 😄, allows us to make moments like this possible and help more dogs find the loving homes they deserve. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 🐾💚 Shout out to Zack & Karen for being so helpful and for all that they do each day to help animals.
