💛 A Quick Update from Main Street Uvalde
We wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that this month’s Market Day on the Plaza has been canceled.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but after looking at everything happening around Uvalde, we realized there are simply a lot of great community events happening at the same time. Rather than asking our vendors, businesses, volunteers, and community to spread themselves too thin, we felt it was better to take a step back this month.
We know many of you look forward to Market Day, and we truly appreciate everyone who has supported it, participated as a vendor, volunteered, or simply came downtown to enjoy the day. ❤️
Sometimes being part of a community means recognizing that there’s a lot of good happening all around us, and we want to support that.
So, we won’t be gathering on the Plaza for this Market Day.
Thank you for understanding, and more importantly, thank you for continuing to show up for Uvalde. That’s what makes this community special. 🌵❤️

Calling all vendors! 🛍️✨

We’re getting ready for Market Day on the Plaza: Back the Pack, and we want to fill the Plaza with local makers, small businesses, food vendors, artists, and community organizations!

To help get everyone ready for the new school year, we’re having a Back-to-School Vendor Sale!

💥 Market Day vendor spaces are now ONLY $75!
That’s $25 OFF our regular $100 vendor fee!
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday August 11, 2026 in order to receive the discounted rate.

Our America 250 celebration on the Plaza was made possible because of the incredible people and organizations who generously gave their time, energy, and support. A heartfelt thank you to El Progreso Memorial Library, Sahawe Dancers, Briscoe Animal Resource Center , Carlitos Way, The Buddy Club Childcare Learning Center, Lyte Fiber, and the Main Street Advisory Board for helping make the day so special.

Most importantly, thank you to our community. Seeing so many families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate reminds us why we do what we do. Your attendance, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express.

What is Main Street Uvalde?
When many people hear "Main Street," they think of festivals, markets, and community events and while we love bringing people together, that's only part of what we do.
The Main Street Uvalde program is dedicated to keeping our historic downtown a place where businesses can thrive, history is preserved, and our community can come together.

Every day, we work behind the scenes to:
🏛️ Preserve our historic downtown
🛍️ Support local businesses and entrepreneurs
🔨 Encourage building improvements and revitalization
🤝 Connect property owners with resources and opportunities
🎉 Organize events that bring our community together
📣 Promote downtown as a destination to shop, dine, and explore
💼 Encourage economic growth and private investment

Everything we do is guided by the Main Street Four-Point Approach:
