The dedicated teacher union presidents of Oneida and Herkimer counties recently stepped out of the classroom and onto the water for a collaborative Erie Canal cruise! It’s fantastic to see these local leaders coming together to share ideas, support one another, and strengthen our regional education community. Their hard work behind the scenes directly impacts our schools, teachers, and students every single day.

Utica City School District Superintendent of Schools Christopher Spence has requested — and been granted by the district's board of education — a leave of absence effective immediately through July 31.

The UTA was represented at the Cornhill Spring Fest on Saturday. This community painting day was presented by the Cornhill Revitalization Project, and community members were able to enjoy games,music, food, and so much more!
