Welcome back, Kristen Mills!

Sculpture Space is thrilled to announce that Kristen Mills has been selected as our 2026–2027 Long-Term Resident.

A multidisciplinary artist, educator, and Fall 2022 Sculpture Space alumna, Kristen returns to Utica this September for a nine-month residency where she'll develop new work while connecting with artists, students, educators, and communities throughout the Mohawk Valley.

We're excited to welcome Kristen back and can't wait to share her journey with you over the coming year.

For the past nine months, artist Jennifer Leibowitz has called Sculpture Space home.

Join us as we celebrate the culmination of her long-term residency with A Day of Two Noons, a POP-UP exhibition and studio open house featuring new work created during her time in Utica.

This special evening offers a rare opportunity to see finished works, works-in-progress, and step inside Jennifer's studio to experience the ideas, experiments, and discoveries that shaped her residency.

Long-term residencies give artists something increasingly difficult to find: time. Time to explore, question, experiment, and allow work to evolve. A Day of Two Noons invites you into that process.

Jennifer's residency was made possible through the generous support of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, whose investment helps provide artists with the time and space necessary for significant creative development.

We host artists from around the world to come to Utica to create new work and engage with the community.
