Utica Garden Club

Utica Garden Club Utica Garden Club We currently have approximately 50 members from the Illinois Valley area.

Membership is open to all men and women in Utica, IL and the Surrounding Communities who have varying degrees of skill and interest in gardening, garden-related hobbies, yard work, and flower gardening. We support local projects in the Utica, IL area and provide tuition assistance to horticultural students at Illinois Valley Community College.

🌿The Utica Garden Club will be hosting the Garden Faire and Plant Sale on June 6-7, 2026 at the LCHS Canal Market from 9-4 both days!

🌷UGC members will have a variety of plants, flowers and herbs for sale! A variety of vendors, including garden and plant vendors, will be located at the Canal Market as well!

At our March meeting, the garden club enjoyed an informative presentation by Lisa Sons, IDNR Natural Resources Coordinator, on Spring Ephemeral flowers.

The March 19 meeting at Community Building starts at 7pm with Lisa Sons giving a presentation on Wildflowers. Committee for the meeting is Linda Gift, Sue Fiorentini and Sarah Kutter.

Easter decor in pots has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 21 at 9:00 am. Please meet at shelter at Danny Carey park to divide out the decorations and flowers.

About 30 Garden Club members enjoyed our annual Soup Bar meeting on 11/20. We had a dozen different soups to choose from and many delicious side dishes and desserts. We had a presentation on options for a public art piece we'd donate to the Village of North Utica and then played Garden Trivia.
