CNYVOC is in the process of creating a resourceful, one stop facility in Utica for veterans residing throughout Central New York. When complete this facility would offer, among other services, transitional housing for homeless veterans with permanent housing for disabled and elderly veterans, plus a wide variety of other services.

Today, we join together in remembering and honoring the life of Thomas Marrotta Sr.—a devoted supporter, longtime board member, and true friend of the Utica Center for Development.

Tom’s impact on our organization and the community at large cannot be overstated. His commitment, guidance, and belief in our mission helped shape who we are today. He gave his time selflessly, always advocating for those we serve and working to make our community stronger, more inclusive, and more compassionate.

Beyond his role on our board, Tom will be remembered for his character, his kindness, his leadership, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he encountered. He was someone who led by example and left a lasting impression on all of us fortunate enough to know him.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Marrotta family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please know that his legacy will continue to live on through the work we do each and every day.

Rest in peace, Tom. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

What an incredible day in Utica 🇺🇸

The Utica Center for Development was honored to coordinate this year’s Memorial Day Parade alongside the City of Utica. Seeing our community come together in such a meaningful way is something we don’t take for granted.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day possible—from our elected officials and community leaders, to the City of Utica, local businesses, organizations, and every individual who was involved in the parade. Your presence is what makes this tradition so special.

Most importantly, we honor and remember the brave men and women who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Today, and every day, we thank you.
