A simple grocery trip can make a meaningful difference.

During the month of June, Abraham House will receive $1 for every reusable Community Bag purchased at the Hannaford on Mohawk Street in Utica.

It’s a small act of kindness that helps us continue providing compassionate end-of-life care and support to local families...always free of charge.

📣 We Need Your Help!

Abraham House is looking for volunteers of all ages to be featured in our upcoming set of commercials to be filmed at our House in Rome on Wednesday, June 10th!

We are seeking:
⭐ 5 volunteers for a 10:00 AM time slot
⭐ 5 volunteers for an 11:15 AM time slot

No acting experience is necessary and there will be no speaking, just a willingness to help us spread awareness about the compassionate care and support we provide to our guests and their families.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help us share the mission of Abraham House and raise awareness about the compassionate care we provide to our guests and their families.

✨ Volunteer Spotlight ✨

We’re grateful to have volunteers like Adne Weaver as part of the Abraham House family.

Adne has spent more than 20 years serving others throughout the community and says volunteering at Abraham House is meaningful to her because guests are treated with dignity, comfort, and compassion.

One of her favorite memories was connecting with a guest on her very first day volunteering and hearing stories about her life and crafts. Adne also creates handmade bears for guests, bringing smiles and comfort to many.

We started with one cozy 2-bedroom home in Utica then added a 6-bedroom home in Rome.

Each day, Abraham House serves families across Oneida, Madison, and Herkimer Counties with a space that feels like home… peaceful, supportive, and filled with compassion.

And this is just the beginning.

Plans are in motion to expand into Herkimer and Lewis Counties, so even more families can have access to comfort and dignity when it matters most.

A heartfelt thank you to The Neighborhood Center, Inc. and their Afterschool Outreach/Prevention Program and the many little hands that lovingly hand-painted clay flower pots and planted beautiful flowers for our guests at Abraham House. 💐

These colorful creations are more than just decorations they are thoughtful reminders that our community cares. Your kindness, creativity, and generosity will bring smiles to our guests and a touch of beauty to our home.
