Bay Aging, the nonprofit Area Agency on Aging serving the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck of Virginia, is seeking proposals from qualified companies for weekly janitorial services at the following locations: Gloucester Bay Transit facility, Warsaw Bay Transit facility, and the Urbanna Professional Center, housing all its administrative buildings and offices.

We’re hiring full time, regional Home Care Aides (CNA/Nursing Assistant/PCA)!

Help clients stay safe, healthy, and independent at home by providing personal care, safety checks, and light housekeeping. You’ll be part of a supportive team led by an RN Supervisor.

Eligible for Sign-On Bonus of $500 after 200 hours completed. Employee Referral Bonus $250.* Benefits include: health, vision, and dental insurance; 401k Retirement Plan; paid holidays; annual and sick leave; and more.

Pay Rate:
• CNA - $19 / hr
• Nursing Assistant - $18.50 / hr
• PCA - $17.40 / hr

Art in Transit 2026 has officially come to a close!

Last Friday, we gathered for a wonderful Awards Reception where the winners were announced and the Bay Transit bus featuring the winning artwork was officially revealed. It was a great time as we celebrated creativity, community, and the incredible talent of our local artists.

Congratulations to our Top 3 winners and our Honorable Mentions! And a heartfelt thank-you to all of the artists who submitted artwork for consideration and helped make this year’s event so special. We’re grateful to RAL Art Center for their continued partnership and everyone who supported Art in Transit - helping bring art to life across our region.

Be on the lookout for the “Bridge Party” bus rolling around town and helping carry this year’s winning artwork throughout the community!

Mark Your Calendars and Join Us for a GUIDE Model Information Session!

If you are caring for someone living with dementia, support is available—and it starts with information. Join us for a GUIDE Program Information Session to learn about a no-cost Medicare program created to support both individuals with dementia and the family members who care for them.

The GUIDE Model, offered by Bay Health Solutions, brings together a coordinated care team to help ease the caregiving journey and support individuals with dementia to remain at home safely and with dignity.

During this session, we’ll cover how the program works, who may be eligible, and how GUIDE can support families navigating dementia care.

We hope you’ll join us—and help spread the word to families who may benefit from this valuable support.

Individuals living with early stage memory loss and their care partners are invited to join us for our Early Stage Dual Support Group.

This group offers a relaxed, welcoming space where individuals experiencing early stage memory changes can connect through conversation and shared activities—while care partners meet separately to share experiences, receive guidance, and support one another. This group is free to attend.

First time participants are asked to call 1-800-493-0238 to register and complete a brief screening. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—we’re here to walk it with you.
