This morning, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds expanded Iowa’s proclamation suspending regulatory requirements covering the use of dyed diesel fuel for on-road use within the state of Iowa. Today’s expansion adds livestock, livestock feed, and other farm products as qualifying products hauled by a carrier while taking advantage of the proclamation.

FUELIowa is saddened by the passing of longtime industry leader and former Board Chair Don Lyons of Dysart, who passed away at the age of 87.

Don served as Board Chair from 2001–2003 and spent more than 60 years in Iowa’s fuel industry. He was also a tremendous advocate for Camp Courageous and helped strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Camp and FUELIowa.

Former Camp Courageous CEO Charlie Becker said Don and his wife, Janice, leave behind “a beautiful legacy—a legacy of goodness, kindness, friendship, and service to others.”

We extend our deepest condolences to Don’s family and friends and are grateful for his many years of leadership and service to our industry and association.
