Our "Farm Day" ag literacy event for Urbana 1st graders was a success. The day started off a bit chilly but warmed up with the sun coming out. Thank you to our sponsors, your generosity affords us to provide tshirts for everyone for the event. We love seeing them worn over the years all throughout the community! Thank you to The Woodruff Farm for hosting and providing the 1st graders with the best chocolate milk around! Also a shout out to Champaign County Farm Bureau for providing lunch to all the FFA students and volunteers putting on the event.

Day 2 of Ohio FFA State Convention

Our officers were recognized for their excellent work on their books.
Maddie Farmer - Gold Rated Treasurer
Clayton Schafer - Gold Rater Reporter
Xavier Phillips - Silver Rated Secretary

We had members Abigail Gsell, Marleigh Long, and Emma Osornio sing in the state choir with Mr. Rusty Ray Myers as the state FFA choir director.

Our Meat Evaluation CDE team earned 6th in the state.

Two of our members earned their State FFA degree.

💙💛Day 1 of Ohio FFA Convention 💛💙

Opening session: We were recognized for charitable givings. Part of the FFA motto is "living to serve" and we do our best to help those in need through community service and donations!

We toured OSU - CFAES new MALC facility. We are excited to see this facility and all the potential for use in the future!

Rodizio Grill for a dinner of bonding and laughter!

Urbana FFA members helped sort and bag trees for the annual Champaign County Soil and Water Conservation District. Students enjoyed a hands on activity helping the community and thought the shop smelled great! 👃🌲🌳🌿

What did FFA give you?

It wasn’t just contests.
It wasn’t just conventions.
It wasnt just livestock shows.
It wasn’t just speeches.
It wasn’t just judging.
It wasn’t just a jacket.

FFA gave me __________.

Maybe your child is the first in your family to join FFA.

They come home one day and say, “I think I want to join ag.”

You’re not sure what that means.
You don’t know what a record book is.
You’ve never heard of a juding contest.
You don’t own boots for stock shows or know what “official dress” even looks like.

But you sign the paper anyway.

Four years go by in a blink.

Early mornings.
Late nights.
Contests you didn’t understand but showed up for anyway.
Projects that tested patience.
Speeches that built confidence.
Moments that built character.

And somewhere along the way, that blue jacket never really was just a jacket.

It became responsibility.
It became work ethic.
It became leadership.
It became confidence your child didn’t even know they had.

You may have had no idea what FFA entailed when they started…

But by the end of it, you’ll never be able to fully thank that blue corduroy jacket for the person it helped shape your child into 💙💛
