A crisp, wintery walk on a late autumn day. The snow was crusty on the landfill path leading to the Bruce Hannon Levee Trail on Monday, December 8. But the trail was decent walking. Watch for animal tracks in the snow. Every day brings something new!

Thanks to everyone who joined us today for our Black Friday Hike on the Bruce Hannon Levee Trail!

We had a few new folks on the trail today, and we are always excited to introduce new friends to our properties.

The 2.3 mile trail (1.7-mile loop + 0.3-mile approach) is located on the Sangamon River Cooridor Reserve and it is open to the public.

📍The trailhead parking area is located just south of the Monticello golf course on Allerton Road.
