Greetings Friends!!

** Young Eagles at Grimes tomorrow, 5/17 with Chapter 9 is postponed until next Saturday due to forecast high winds **

Wednesday night as I am writing this post. This Saturday, May 3rd is our next Chapter 421 Meeting. We will be meeting at the Grimes Flying lab Hangar. The main focus of this meeting is discussing helping Chapter 9 on May 17th with their Young Eagles day here at Grimes.... We will have donuts as usual, but Bring Your Own Beverage whether it be coffee or milk or juice !! 😉

Another important note about Grimes...........Have you checked out the latest AOPA magazine? Page 46, "A Project of Passion" - a nice short story about the Champaign Aviation Museum".

Annual Chapter Dues are Due !!

Not a member? Be part of our Chapter! Subscribe and become an official member by filling out the EAA Chapter 421 Membership Form. Members must be an EAA National Member, both links below.

Annual Dues for EAA Chapter 421 membership:
Student Annual Dues -- $10.00
Adult Annual Dues -- $20.00
Family Annual Dues -- $40.00 (unlimited number)

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit group. Meetings are held at 10:00 AM EST on the first Saturday of every month at Grimes Field, Urbana, Ohio, Location for May TBD, watch here for more info.

EAA Chapter 421 Membership Form

It is important to keep membership information current. In order to do this, the EAA Chapter authorized the development of an updated electronic membership form so that it would be easy to collect membership information. Please take the time to complete this form as soon as possible.

If you are not a current EAA National Member, it is required that you go to the following URL and register as an EAA member. You will then receive an EAA National Member number. You will need this number later in the application process.

UPDATE: sorry for the late notice. We will NOT be meeting for the Blake's Baby project July 17th. We have an Ercoupe undergoing maintenance in the hangar. We will update you on when Blake's Baby is rescheduled. Thank you for your patience!

We will be hosting our first meeting for Blake's Baby June 17th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, in Hangar 6, Grimes Field (directions posted on front page of website). We will begin sawing some parts for the pedal plane and discuss how to move forward in the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions, respond to this post. Everyone is welcome to join us!

Summary of June/July schedule:

1. Blake's Baby first meeting: June 17th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
2. Our July meeting has been moved from July 1st to July 15th, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (times differ for officers)
3. Young Eagles originally scheduled for July 8th has been cancelled. We are planning to reschedule for late September/early October

Our first meeting is planned for June 17th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at Hangar 6

Hello everyone!

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the Young Eagles event scheduled for July 8th, 2023, is cancelled. We are planning to reschedule the event in late September or early October. We will keep you posted on Facebook and our website.

Other updates:
1. Our July monthly meeting has been rescheduled for July 15th, instead of the first Saturday of the month.
2. We will discuss the rescheduling of the Young Eagles event during the July meeting.
