The Illinois Prairie Hosta Society is proud to announce that Mikes Hosta Sale is this Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 8am to Noon for IPHS members only and their guests. There is a special promotion where if a member brings a guest who joins IPHS, the member receives a $20.00 cash coupon to be used during the sale on May 30, 2026. Alternatively, if you sponsor or refer a new member any time prior to the sale on May 30, 2026, you will receive a $20.00 Hosta Cash coupon to use at the sale. This sale will take place from 8:00am until 12 noon at 1006 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign. Parking is on W. Charles Street or on Haines Blvd. We hope to see you there!
There will be many beautiful hostas and companion plants, as well as beautiful tall late blooming day Lillie’s and also several beautiful succulent arrangements made by Susan Weber. You won’t want to miss this sale!

Dear IPHS Members, A reminder that our monthly meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday evening, featuring a garden tour of our member's garden. Details have been emailed to you. The event includes a presentation by Derek Peterson, Director of the University of Illinois Arboretum, who will share his vision for the arboretum, followed by a brief business meeting.

We welcome your participation, which offers opportunities to network with fellow gardeners, gain knowledge, and explore gardens while contributing to the beautiful arboretum hosta garden.

The Illinois Prairie Hosta Society Members and Volunteers deserve immense gratitude for their tireless efforts in mulching the Arboretum Hosta garden, investing four hours each this morning to craft a masterpiece that highlights the garden's full beauty. Thank you Mike, Susan W, Susan H, Sangeetha, Siska, Carol M, Harry, Mary, Maureen, Helen, Nancy, Mikes Fraternity brothers and anyone that I’ve forgotten. 🥰

I know I have received a lot of questions lately about our open schedule this year so I am sharing again for those that are new here (Hi! Welcome!) or for those who might have missed the post. I will be also creating some events so you can get a reminder when we are open as the days approach! 26 days!

This is going to be a great summer, not only with all of the wonderful programs that Jean Drasgow has planned for us but we are also going to have Mike's IPHS Members Only Hosta Sale where if you bring a guest who joins IPHS you will receive a $20.00 gift certificate to be used at the sale or if you sponsor or refer a new member any time prior to the sale in May 30, 2026 you will receive a $20.00 Hosta Cash coupon to use at the sale.

This sale will take place on May 30, 2026 from 8:00am until 12noon, at 1006 S. Prospect Ave., Champaign. We hope to see you there!
