Football Is Bigger Than the Game
Tonight, I want everyone to understand something.
Football is important. We work hard for it. We prepare for it. We compete. We want to win. We want to be tough, disciplined, and give everything we have on that field.
But football is bigger than a game.
Today, we are reminded of that in a way that none of us ever wanted to be reminded.
A player on PFC has unfortunately passed away.
When something like this happens, the rivalry doesn’t matter. The scoreboard doesn’t matter. The wins and losses don’t matter.
People matter. Families matter. Teammates matter.
Every time we step onto the field, we have an opportunity to represent something bigger than ourselves. We represent our families, our teammates, and our community.
But remember to appreciate the opportunity to play this game.
Because there will always be another game. Another season. Another rivalry.
But we don’t always get another day with the people beside us.
Football is bigger than a game.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the PFC family, teammates, coaches, and entire community.
Appreciate every moment.
