Champaign Aviation Museum The Champaign Aviation Museum is restoring a B-17 Flying Fortress back to flight status. We also have a fully restored and flying B-25 Mitchell.

The Champaign Aviation Museum is restoring a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress bomber to flying condition. We also have a WWII B-25 Mitchell fully restored and flying, The public is welcome to visit.

Another huge victory for the B-17 project! The left inboard wing section is now mounted and balanced on the rotisserie and set for the exterior aluminum skin to be added!

We are extremely proud of our friend, Tom Printz, for receiving the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award AND the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award from the FAA yesterday! Holding BOTH honors is an elite milestone held by only a select few, and highlights Tom's lifetime of dedication, safety, and aviation expertise. Among his personal achievements and military career, he has been instrumental in helping to maintain our Museum's aircraft, flight operations, events, and historic preservation over the years, and we appreciate him very much. Congratulations Tom!!!
