The members of the mad River flying Association wish to express their sincere gratitude for allowing us host our annual 2026
R/C swap meet within the Champaign Aviation Museum.
We had fantastic attendance with people from many different states arriving to view this fantastic museum. in an earlier post I had said, that the museum opens its doors once a year to allow us to do this. I should rephrase that, they are open every Tuesday through Saturday all year long. Not just during our event.

if you have ever thought about coming to this museum do not miss it. It has so much to offer and it's only a short drive away.

Progress continues on the B-17 wings with corrugation on the inboard sections and paint prep on the outboard sections!

Every March the Champaign Aviation Museum opens its doors and welcomes our local R/C club for our annual swap meet.

So much to see for everyone. If you have not ever visited this outstanding museum, make the effort on March 7th 8:30 to noon to see historic aircraft and the best in radio control aviation.

A $5 donation gets you into the event, wives and kids are free!

The flag pole project and walk area at our front door is progressing well with complete this spring.

Many thanks to those donors to make this long awaited project a reality.

The Museum will be closed December 23-25 for Christmas and closed December 30-January 1 for New Year's.

Today our B-17 Wing Crew installed the first section of corrugated skin on the lower left inboard wing!

Thank you Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, Urbana Daily Citizen, and everyone who joined us at the the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new building! We're grateful for the support of our community and very excited for the future!
