Autism Speaks U - UIUC

Autism Speaks U - UIUC Launched in 2008, Autism Speaks U is a program designed for college students who host awareness, advocacy and fundraising events.

Autism Speaks (www.autismspeaks.org) is North America’s largest autism organization with chapters in almost every state. They fund research, raise awareness, and advocate for individuals and families who are affected by autism. In 2008, Autism Speaks launched a student initiative called Autism SpeaksU (www.autismspeaks.org/u). The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign chapter was started in S

pring 2011. We are dedicated to fundraising, raising awareness, and supporting the local autism community.

1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys have autism. Please encourage more people to "like" this page so we can spread the word about this great organization!

Hi Everyone! We will be meeting tomorrow will be having our first meeting next Wednesday, October 28th at 6:00 PM in Newman Hall Swetland Room (off of Sixth and Armory).

We will be discussing upcoming volunteer and fundraising events, and hearing about the CU Autism Network.

Come learn about Autism, make new connections, and get involved in the CU autism community!

Hi all! Since it is Autism Awareness Month, we are getting together to get the ball rolling again! Tomorrow we will be having an awareness event where we will be putting up puzzle pieces around campus. We are meeting at 5:30 in the Union, on the side nearest the Quad. Hope you can make it!
