Box 13 Fire Associates supports the well-being of all first responders. The new Ohio EMS Safe Haven Program provides confidential, supportive, and non-disciplinary help for EMS providers and firefighters facing stress, mental health challenges, substance use concerns, or other personal struggles.

Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others. Help is available, and reaching out is a sign of strength.

The Ohio Division of EMS has launched the Safe Haven Program to support firefighters and EMTs facing burnout, mental health concerns, or substance use disorders.

This confidential, non-disciplinary program connects first responders with help and resources focused on long-term well-being.

Seeking help is a sign of strength — because caring for yourself helps you care for others.

What an amazing night!! 👏

Together, we raised $4,257, which will go toward supporting the first responders of Champaign County! None of it would have happened without everyone’s support.

Special shoutout to Lt. Wolf and FF Schrader for taking on the role of auctioneers. You guys brought the energy, kept the crowd engaged, and made the whole night so much fun.

Captain Beverly, Thank you as always for being the DJ after the event and keeping the good energy going!

Another special shout out to FF Perry for helping to fill up lanes for the event!

We appreciate every single person who came out and made this night absolutely special! We will see you next year! 🚒🔥

Frank was a proud member of the Box 13 family, and we are truly saddened by his passing. His dedication to this community will never be forgotten.

It is with heavy hearts that The Urbana Fire Division notifies our community of the passing of Frank Giampetro. As we pause to honor Frank’s life and legacy, it is impossible to overstate the impact he had on our community and across the State of Ohio.

Frank was a valued member of The Urbana Fire Division and Box 13 family. His dedication to serving the community and advancing the EMS profession helped shape the strong tradition of service that continues today. The State of Ohio has long recognized Frank’s contributions to EMS education and annually presents a Distinguished EMS Educator Award in his name.

Like many who answered the call before us, Frank gave his time, commitment, and heart to protecting the citizens of our Urbana while also educating and mentoring members of the EMS community across the state.

His contributions to the fire and EMS service—and to our community—will not be forgotten. We are grateful for the foundation laid by members like Frank, whose service, leadership, and character continue to inspire those who follow in their footsteps.

On behalf of The Urbana Fire Division, we extend our deepest condolences to the Giampetro family and all who knew and loved him. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Frank. Thank you for your service and for being part of The Urbana Fire Division legacy.
