On January 22, 2019 we received the worst news that a parent could receive. Her two year old daughter Taylor was also in the accident and sustained multiple injuries. Taylor made a full recovery. Not only did we lose a daughter but Taylor lost a mother. Courtney was a loving, caring, and selfless individual. She lived life to the fullest. Courtney would always put aside her own needs and wants to
do all she could to take care of others, even if this meant she had to do without. She would help anyone she could no matter who you were or what you needed. Courtney would sit with a lonely patient at a nursing home that just needed someone to listen. Courtney had a special gift of never meeting a stranger, her heart wouldn't let her. One thing is for sure if you talked to Courtney you were a happier more loving person for it!! Courtney's love for her daughter, family, and helping people lead her to a career as a nursing assistant. Courtney’s foundation gives back to students entering the health care career field. The Courtney Cummings Foundation provides scholarships to students at Clark State, Ohio State University, Edison State CC, Mechanicsburg HS, West Liberty HS, Graham HS, Bellefontaine HS, and Hi-Point Career Center. We do accept applicants from other schools as well. Please help us keep the spirit of Courtney's love and kindness going for eternity!! There are many people in this world with the same love in their hearts. Let's all give them the tools and opportunities to show others just as Courtney has done.
