The UNCC Family honors the life and legacy of Dr. Taren Nance, K-2 Youth Leader, Social-Emotional Learning Teacher, Founder of the Anti-Violence Collective, and the Black, Brown & Beautiful Family Literacy Program. UNCC is giving back. Please let us know if you or a loved one plan to attend our Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens. If you would like to attend, need a meal delivery, or would like to donate, please call The Center at 217-954-1749 or our Site Coordinator, Ms. April at 217-552-3121. The deadline to sign-up is October 31st. We hope to see you there! 🩵💛

Our 2026 Summer Enrichment Program has come to an end. Whether we were doing science experiments, learning about historical figures and movements, reading, writing, calculating, playing games, swimming, hooping, watching movies, resting, or dining together...The UNCC Family had a great time!!! We want to thank Dr. Lashaunda Cunningham and her team for conceptualizing and organizing the Community Engagement Basketball Tournament between a few of our youth service organizations and the Urbana Police Department. What a great way to end the summer!! We are now closed and will reopen in a couple weeks. 🥳
