Great opportunity for 13-17-year-olds this summer.

The Mass Junior Conservation Camp is a two-week outdoor education program for boys and girls ages 13–17, held this year from August 3rd–15th at the Moses Scout Reservation in Russell, MA. The camp offers young people a unique opportunity to develop outdoor skills and conservation knowledge in a structured, supervised environment.

Camp highlights include:
• Outdoor skills: Archery, Fly and Spin Casting, Map and Compass, Riflery, and Shotgun Safety
• Conservation topics: Fish and Pond Life, Forestry Management, Wildlife Management, Hunter Education, Wilderness Survival, and Small Boat Safety
• Certified instructors, lifeguards, and medical staff on site at all times
• Cost of Attendance: $1,150 | Scholarships Available
• Registration Deadline: June 30th

Our Uniting for Veterans Grant for $1,500 has been APPROVED!!

The food pantry of The United Parish of Upton, MA and Upton Community Center Food Pantry will each receive $750 to help those in our community who may be experiencing food insecurity.

Upton VFW Post 5594 provided over 350 lbs of food to the pantries of The United Parish of Upton, MA, St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, and Upton Department of Elder and Social Services this last season, and $6,900 in new clothing to Veterans Inc.

About the grant:

To empower local action, the VFW Foundation offers a matching donation grant of up to $1,500 for VFW Posts and Auxiliaries. They provide a $1-for-$1 match for:

Food Security: Every pound of food or dollar donated to local food banks and pantries.

Homeless Relief: Every dollar spent on qualified items for shelters or donated to relief organizations.

Joe was laid to rest this morning next to his wife, Marie, following a beautiful mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish. A former Post Commander and District Commander, but more importantly a good friend, he will surely be missed. We are all thinking of him and his family.

Upton's Memorial Day Parade has been cancelled due to the anticipated inclement weather. A ceremony will take place at the Town Hall with doors opening at 9:45am and the ceremony beginning at 10:30am.

UPDATE – MEMORIAL DAY PARADE CANCELLED

Due to weather concerns, today’s Memorial Day Parade has been cancelled.

A Memorial Day ceremony will still be held at 10:30 AM at the Upton Town Hall in place of the services that would have taken place on the Town Common.

Thank you for your understanding as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Should any additional changes occur, updates will be posted here.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, Upton will hold its annual Memorial Day parade beginning at Memorial School and concluding at the Upton Town Common. The following roads will be closed to traffic for the duration of the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies:

🚧 Route 140 between Elm St - School St;
🚧 North Main St between River St - Main St;
🚧 Church St between School St - North Main St

Detours will be in place. Roads are expected to be shut down between approximately 10:00am - 12:00pm. Expect delays along the parade route during these times.

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Alfred P. Consigli, 102, of Upton.

A funeral home service will be celebrated Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10am at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. in Milford. His burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne Ma. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 from 4 to 7pm.
