It might have been a little rainy (or a lot at times) but we had lots of Junior Fair Board members and assistants, Advisory Board members and a few community volunteers come out to get our market animals tagged! Shout out to our official fair vet, Dr. Katie Daniel and family ( Animal Care Center of Tiffin ) for getting the vaccines handled and Dr Grant Price ( Lincoln Way Animal Hospital) for offering castration and dehorning onsite for exhibitors! It's a team effort and we've got a great one!

THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH, 8-11AM, ALL FEEDER CATTLE, MARKET GOATS, MARKET SHEEP NEED TO BE TAGGED! Please enter from the main gate on 53 and follow signs to tagging location! Castration and Dehorning will be in front of 4-H Horse Barn after tagging and weighing.

Calling all SWINE EXHIBITORS! Did you know entering the Swine Production Contest is as easy as bringing your market hogs to the fairgrounds June 20th?! (And making an additional fair entry for the class) It's similar to a rate-of-gain contest many other species have, but with additional factors evaluated by the judge on show day - which means another chance for you to show off your animals in the ring! There are also PRIZES for top placings!

REMINDER: Tag-In for all feeder calves, all market goats and all market sheep is coming up June 6th! Please make plans to be there, or arrange for family or fellow exhibitors to help get your animals there - we do not offer a make up day!

Castration and Dehorning also available at the fairgrounds June 6th, near the 4-H horse barn after tagging/weighing.

Huge THANK YOU to the Upper Sandusky E.V. Schools (OH) 8th graders who volunteered with us today! They raked, swept, shoveled and organized 5 barns and the Arena stands. We had some very hard-working kids, they moved a lot of leaves, and we're hoping maybe a few will join Junior fair board next year! Thanks to Mr Mates and Mr Smalley for organizing!
