Change can be good - like GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!

But sometimes CHANGE IS HARD. It was a difficult decision, but we have discontinued our lamb sandwiches this year. We know they were a fair tradition for many folks, and we appreciate all of the support from the Jeff Wolf family and Brad Kennedy at The Corner Inn for making it possible in recent years, but it was time for a change. We've taken the opportunity to add Sloppy Joe this year!

We have some hard working kids on our team! There were a lot of Junior fair board members going a lot of different directions this morning, but our main focus was the arena! We set up and relabeled our gates to have a smoother transition for sale day setup and now the arena looks a little bit more like our favorite time of year!

LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS: More reminders and suggestions on supplies! NEW RULE PROHIBITING DRENCH GUNS - fair officials and veterinarian will have them available for emergency situations, exhibitors should NOT bring any drench guns on the grounds! Be sure to review the official premium book and become familiar with the rules for your projects.

We now have hoses for all of our wash racks and continue to build our supply of wheelbarrows and tools to clean your stalls! We want to lighten your load and help keep our barns looking nice!

SPREAD THE WORD!!!! Junior Fair Board is a coloring contest to celebrate the 175th County Fair . This is for grades K-5 and due by September 9th! ALL Entries will be displayed in the Culinary Building during the Fair!

You can find the page at thewyandotcountyfair.com under the 2026 Fair tab or stop by the fair office to pick one up!

Please make sure there is a name and phone number on the back so we can contact the winners to pick up their prize pack! Entries can be turned in to the Wyandot County Fair office or to Upper, Carey, Riverdale and Mohawk schools to the Ag Teachers that have agreed to assist us!

As we get closer to the fair, we'll be posting some reminders. These are only highlights, EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BEING FAMILIAR WITH THE RULES. Please pick up a premium book at the Sr. Fair Office or view it on the website at www.thewyandotcountyfair.com

There are rules for each department as well as general rules at the beginning of the Junior Fair section with references to additional Sr Fair & ODA rules. We do our best to keep everyone informed, but a lot of questions can be answered by reading the rules!

RABBIT EXHIBITORS REMINDER! Rabbits need to be tattooed before coming to the fair, tattooing available Saturday, Aug 29th! No need to sign up, just bring your rabbits to the rabbit barn that day!

Please remember on check-in day, rabbits ARE ONLY to be brought in between 2-6pm, do not bring them in early.
