We are relieved to share a hopeful development: an immediate and unconditional ceasefire has been agreed between Cambodia and Thailand, taking effect at midnight tonight.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has called for it to be a time to “rebuild trust and confidence,” while Thailand’s Acting Prime Minister, Phumtham Wechayachai, reaffirmed his country’s commitment to peace, saying they negotiated “in good faith.”

At UWS, we are encouraged by this step toward stability.
✅ 12 of our 13 affected schools are open today.
🏫 We are continuing to support displaced and affected communities, and we will continue to advocate for a peaceful resolution through dialogue.

UWS USA has officially launched the Hands Up for Girls initiative in the United States! This giving circle brings together a community of women making a three-year commitment to advancing girls’ education.

By pledging support, members of the Hands Up for Girls Giving Circle are helping break down barriers for girls in some of the world’s most underserved communities—including Cambodia, Nepal, Madagascar, and Myanmar.

This is more than a donation. It’s a movement, it's a global community standing hand-in-hand to unlock opportunity through education.
